Re: Think we need more of this tomorrow
Commitment and passion, most definatley................but reckless tackles like that no thanks. Cav was very lucky not to have seen red, had the ref had a better view then I have no doubt he would have done. No contact made with the ball = dangerous/reckless play = automatic red card.

Re: Think we need more of this tomorrow
^^ agree with the above 2 comments, passion in going forward to goal or at worst defend but needless dangerous tackles - fraid not, only serves to lose more players than whats on the pitch, besides we are football league with FL refs, totally not accepted!

Re: Think we need more of this tomorrow
It didn't go down too well on the other forum either, so that should tell you something.

don't be sticking up for your chums Pete , we see it from the same angle on the clip on the first angle and you can clearly see he gets nothing on the ball,
awful referee,

Just had another look at the tape in light of your post JT, and must hold my hand up, you're right his view was not obscured a definate red card offence and a poor decision by the Ref........apologies!

He gets nothing on the ball because the Exeter player comes in from the side and nicks it away a split second before the collision. Very unfortunate accident but NOT a red card - the ref got it right. It could easily have been Cav getting cropped instead.
