Ticket discounts.

Ok, this is probably really cheeky to ask as a new fan, but are there discounted tickets?

I've checked the offical site and could find no details, except for family and season tickets and the like.

Those of you who may have met me might think I have a real cheek asking, but having Parkinson's Disease and being told I'll never work again, as well as now being registered disabled, means money is tight. The cost of a ticket is an eighth of my weekly income.

I'm really enjoying coming to suport the reds and this won't stop me, but I'd be a bit daft not to ask. I went to the Octagon theatre in Bolton with two Accy Web members, they asked and I got a slightly cheaper ticket.

Anyway, not moaning and will carry on coming regardless of the answer.

Re: Ticket discounts.

theres a concession ticket, but think this may only apply to OAP's and youth (over 12's). Its worth giving the club a call to find out

Re: Ticket discounts.

I feel a prat now for starting this thread, as I know the club needs every penny it can get.

On a slightly differrent note, according to this weeks Observer, the club needs every supporter to attend matches after a disappointing first home game. Perhaps more widely advertised tickets with discounts would increase the gate. My income, through no fault of my own, is the same as a single pensioner.

Like I said it won't stop me coming, it'll just mean l have to be a bit more careful for the next 25 years until I'm eligble for the O.A.P.'s discount.

Re: Ticket discounts.

I think they should advertise matches more and perhaps drop the price a little. £10 doesn't sound a lot, but to most people on a fixed income thats quite a chunk out of your weekly spends.

Re: Ticket discounts.

I dont see whats wrong with asking... being disabled and unable to work.. a forced low income.. not your fault.... Ask the club..... ya might not get anywhere but ya cant get shot for asking as they say

True Kip, I get Disability Living Allowance, and had to retake my driving test and am now classed as a disabled driver.

I do have a bee in my bonnet re there inability to advertise events properly... But I cant see how they can advertise a match more.... Saturday afternoon... football... everyone knows that... Its in the local papers.. signs do go up around town and theres posters ready to download from the website for every game...

As for the price.. I would say fair and reflects well on the conference.... esp the concession prices

I am not a disabled driver in the sense that I had to take a special test (ouch!) But I do have to renew my licence at alarming ragularity

Prices might be fair to some people, but when u are living off £60-70 a week, they are steep.

Everything is relative if you look at it sensibly. £12 for the Conference is in line with virtually every other club in the league. I understand what you are saying, but that's life I'm afraid.
