Re: Today Vs Gillingham (match thread)
I was concerned at some of the comments from people around me, several said they would not be coming again, until Coleman goes. Does'nt ode good for the season ticket sales, if comments like this are being bandered about.
I feel that Chris Turner should have been brought on earlier, we were a different class when he and Higginbottom were introduced. I do think Coleman lacks that bit of tactical knowhow, we do have the basics of a fair side but they, the subs are not used to our advantage.

Re: Today Vs Gillingham (match thread)
Pants today. Absolute pants. The most entertaining thing all afternoon was the little kid at half time! The only Stanley players to come out of this game with any credit are Edwards (only because he made the fewest mistakes) and Charnock for having the balls to take on that giant of a centre forward. Men against boys , it was. Gillingham strolled around as though they were playing a practice game whilst we huffed and puffed in a cluelless inept way. Having said that, the gills are probably the best team that have come to the Crown (has it now reverted to its non sponsered name ?) this season.

Thanks, Cowboy. I must have missed that. As it's impossible to go back into the archive this year, I'm not sure when the announcement was. All I can see is that he was reported to be back to "full fitness" on 28 February.

Must agree with most of this post, especially the mascot at half time he was a star, but do not agree with the last bit I thought that they were very average but we made them look better than they were, cannot believe that they are in the play off places We have just got to get a win from somewhere 5 points from the drop zone we just are not that bad.......

Re: Today Vs Gillingham (match thread)
today brought a whole new meaning to the word "Crap" fer my money coleman substituted the right people, (pity ya cant have 5) stanley only looked really dangerous after turner came on. i always assumed ya start a match with yer strongest team. that is certainly NOT the case.

Not far wrong Cashy Cannot understand why Turner does not get a start Got to say though cannot agree with home "fans????" Cheering and clapping when our lads - Lindfield and Milesy are subbed Whats that all about? How can we expect them to play well and give their all when they are applauded off the pitch by their own "fans????" Never right that.......

What sort of football have you been watching? The 'Football Genius' always starts with his mates, his favourites, the rest of the team just has to fit in with them.

Re: Today Vs Gillingham (match thread)
Other results are worrying...I really hope Grimsby aren't going to go on a winning streak. Five points above the drop zone.

I think Coley has lost his nerve and is reluctant to go all out on attack with him and Higginbottom from the start, but the current strategy sure aint working.

You can hardly blame Stanley for that! Ask your MP why his government have brought these stupid new rules in.

Re: Today Vs Gillingham (match thread)
I expected Gillingham to see Stanley off not prettily but efficiently - that's why I forecast 0-3. They are physically powerful and direct as I knew they would be.
Stanley contended with them better than I expected and will need to regroup now and console themselves with the thought that at least 2 other teams (that we have still to play) are no great shakes. Hopefully still in League 2 Stanley will need to regroup again in the Summer.
I do not think Stanley will play a more difficult opponent at Accrington this season.
A win at Macclesfield will change the whole complexion of things. Stanley cannot afford to lose the resolve they showed against that team in the last home game of 2006/7.
