Re: Today vs MKD

Stanley played well today, that was one of the most spirited performances I've seen them play at home this season, pity we lost this time but at least it was not for the lack of trying.
well done! Keep up the good work guys!

I agree, and they most certainly should not have been on the pitch throwing punches! But they didn't get anything other than a little push.

The lads Played well today, It should of been a draw at least, well done to Kempson for covering the ball at the foot of the goal, he had more kicks then the ball.

Keep it up lads and we will stay up.

Re: Today vs MKD

From the excellent Bulls News:

Coleman gets sent to the Stands again

Accrington Stanley's manager John Coleman was sent to the stands for a second time in successive games this afternoon. His side were defeated 1-0 by leaders MK Dons.

Late in the game Ray Mathias, the Dons assistant manager, was knocked to the ground as Accrington defender Leam Richardson tried to take a throw in.

This from the Times:

A touchline mêlée ensued, with Paul Ince, the visiting team's manager, confronting Richardson on the pitch before Coleman was sent off for attempting to persuade Eddie Ilderton, the referee, not to caution his player.

Coleman said: “It was farcical. I did nothing wrong. Our player has tried to take a quick throw, he knocks their assistant manager over and we are all laughing about it. Paul Ince then takes exception and gets involved, I go on to the pitch to try to stop our player getting booked and I get sent to the stands. It's not funny for me because I'll be getting an FA charge after being sent off again.”

Ince escaped punishment, but Mathias suggested that the Tyne & Wear official had overreacted by dismissing Coleman and the Accrington coach, Jimmy Bell. “It was a nothing incident,” he said. “For their manager and coach to be sent off is a bit harsh.”

In a just world, Ince would be forced to spend the rest of his managerial career at MK Dons, they deserve each other.

Re: Today vs MKD

ok just got in and yes I know it's late!!! needed a few drinks to calm myself. Ince is a absolute banker with a capital W. I will say that at the end of the match I did confront him saying "incy you're behaviour was a disgrace" his reply was "you know what..f*** off" right to my face!

I went back into the gazelle lounge and a while later was told he was in the car park, so went out and said "I think you owe me an apology for swearing at me" he said "I owe you nothing" which I replied "you were out of order and there was no need to swear at me" he said "I tell you your behaviour was a disgrace!!".. then the mk dons players were banging on the coach windows, I waved at them, turned round to incy running down the car park.

at this point I went back into the gazelle and calmed down for him to turn up in there... but decided it wasn't the place (although tess whalley said he deserved a lamping ). Looked him straight in the eye but he avoided me, then soon disappeared and caught him driving off pretty damn quicky!!

Funny thing was I have been told that both incidents have been caught on tape and a complaint is going in

As for the match, loved leading the teams out and the ref let me carry the match ball onto the pitch... we had an almost solid game, kempson played a blinder in my eyes and unlucky to let one past as mk weren't up for it at all... on that performance it beggars belief that they are top of the league

Re: Today vs MKD

It was a good performance by all , hope kemps stays for next season . missed mullen , think craney or someone would have been able to latch on to one of his knock downs . Players battled for one another , loved Toddy at right back but still think aswad is not good enough . Edwards had a great game , leam tryed his best to get aswad going . Kemps was top . Harris hasseled them and got in their face . result was naff but saw it coming . well done stanley see you at macc

Re: Today vs MKD

Good battling game yesterday, we certainly deserved a point from it at least. The only weak link for me again was Craney, he gave Shaun Whalley no help at all and it should have been Craney who was brought off for Mangan, maybe the pace of Shaun & Mangy up front could have created something.
Ince was his usual charming self - yet got away with punching Leam, how did that happen? Really hope the FA take notice of the camera evidence of what happened & he gets the punishment he deserves (being sent back to manage Macc perhaps?)
