Re: Today's Game

Answer - Rob Elliott.
IF we go up we should commission a special medal for him - what a goalie!

Re: Today's Game

last few minutes, made a magnificent save from a direct shot on target which was heading for the top of the net!! This from a player carrying a slight back injury too!! Hope he hasn't aggravated it further!!

"How did we get 3 points"

We were playing elecrtic football all throughout the game but the goals just werent coming....we could have had 5 or 6 if every shot of Boco's came off.
I thought we coped well with a more than decent side who were stubborn in defeat and came alive after we scored. Rocky played a blinder in his anchorman role and Andy Tretton once again proves why he is one of if not THE best centre half in the league - settling extremely quickly into an established side - a true professional.
7 more wins....just 7 more wins guys

He deservedly recieved the MOTM award in the clubhosue... some outstanding saves there

and the reason we won was because we where better.. massive improvement on both worksop games.

Re: Today's Game

as I recall. two cracking saves in the first half, one was better than the one in the dying minutes. The difference between **** Stanley and **** hot Stanley has been Randolph and Elliott. Early doors we had a plethora of only half decent or crap keepers and we didn't get results, since we had two absolutley banging keepers in Randolph and Elliot we have strung together a riduculous amount of wins and draws that have took us from 8 ppoints behind to 11 points in front with two games in hand. Never forget the input that Darren had.

Re: Today's Game

Daggers created some good chances during the game, but we created more clear-cut chances than them. You don't win games by near misses, only by goals. If you received points for creating chances, then we'd still have won.

The aim of the game is to put the ball into the back of the goal. We scored, they didn't. We won... we get three more points!
