Re: Todays Game @ Chester
Well done, thought you played better against us at the Deva than you did at your place by a mile. I thought the fans that travelled down for you were fantastic and made alot of noise considering the amount there. You should be okay from relegation now so hopefully we will get revenge next year.

I am obviously pleased that we won today, infact I said so in an earlier post on this thread
However I STILL believe that Mr Coleman is living on borrowed time and that todays result will serve only to stave off the inevitable.

Re: Todays Game @ Chester
as one of the sober fans who attended (coxy was in a bad way) I thought the second half was a big improvement.
BTW, i brought along a witton albion fan and his kid from work who after the game has pledged his allegance to all things Accy.
The bad - Branch. he rose for bohh goals to slowly for the the headers and was out muscled and won far to few aireal battles for a centre back - I really do think Branch is past it.
Harris - his passing was poor IMO and he was pretty useless when supporting any of the wing play in the first half. The lad offered little going forward or defensivly today.
Todd -his fitness for a substitute was terrible. His crossing left alot to be desired.
Positives
Mullin - worked his socks off. chased everything, ran onto balls, won most headers, all round team ethic was top notch and got lots of applause from a very passionate Cav in the stands.
Craney -second half with more space and time looked the Craney of old. His turn for the second goal was typical Craney, the guy was great.
Aswad - a totally different player from last week where the nerves must have gotten to him. His first goal was a beauty (good ball by Liam).
Whalley - MOM. He showed his potential and boy did he show it. His running, dribbling, crossing, and attempts to shoot caused Chester no end of problems. The guy was simply fantastic.
Coleman - despite his 5-3-2 failing in the first half to keep it tight, and the inability of phil edwards (not through lack of effort) to make the system work down the right (the left hand side was just as incapable at going forward), his tactical changes second half where spot on, and his persistence with Craney paid off.
Full marks to the football genius.
Stanley fans where brilliant today. As I have earlier said, we picked up 2 more fans today.

Re: Todays Game @ Chester
Hmmmm stop picking on me Aswad was very happy to get a HR bear hug...although reports say he now has two broken ribs
JOKING!!!!!!!
what a match, 2 completely different halves... second was the best I have seen them play for a long time, passing the ball on the ground and less of the hoofing it up the pitch... real team playing and heart in the mouth stuff.. and .....
when craney's goal went in, it was amazing, we really were having a party!! final whistle..well...WOW is all I can say.
Also got to give some credit to the chester stewards, must be the most sensible stewards I have come across and really friendly too.. so a definite positive
"WE WENT TO WALES AND WE WON 3-2" was the chant resounding round the deva industrial estate

Yes, they were fine, as opposed to the most miserable set of coppers I've ever seen in my life, and how many of them were there?
"The Bill, it's just like watching the Bill", did they not like that.

I have to agree with you. The stewards were great. They let us put all the flags up behind the goal, & even let us go outside for a quick cig at half time. Definately a credit to their club.

Re: Todays Game @ Chester
Way hey, games just been called the match of the day on the championship...great to see the goals again and the flags behind the goal
Forgot to mention Coley's joke in his post match interview when asked about a defender scoring two goals... and he said errrrr thought we signed him as a striker
