Re: Todays Match - ASFC v Grimsby
Sad that for the teams recent fortunes, the locals still don't seem to be 'coming aboard'.

I wouldn't say that John. A few weeks ago the home support was down to about 1000. The last 2 games it's up to about 1300. That's quite a nice increase.
OK, I'd love to see 5000 on the ground, but we've got to be realistic.

Re: Todays Match - ASFC v Grimsby
I don't want to put the "moccas" on him but Toddy must be the best penalty taker we've ever had, including Lutel. Blasted every time high into the net like they all should be, even though today's was so perfect I thought when he hit it he might have put it wide. I know he has missed one, but even Shearer wasn't infallible.
I thought today we were hampered by a lousy bone-hard pitch and actually thought we played more controlled football at Hartlepool, although we did get going against the 10 men in the second half. Cav is now playing better than I've ever seen him and Coley has a genuine selection headache for the full back places. Sorry, but I'm still not convinced by Doherty, in spite of his goal and assist for Mullin. With Whalley surely available next week, plus Browny and McGivern pushing hard for a start we can be confident of keeping the good run going and avoiding any last match nervousness. Don't think Coley will have any complaints about today's ref?

Oh dear, someones not happy

Did you notice in the programme all officials were from Lancashire/Merseyside. That was obvious in the way they jumped at every opportunity to give accy free kicks and a penalty. Complain and the FA would say refs are above being bias, Bulls,..t. the Threee stooges gave them the points today.

What a farce, all officials today from within a stones throw of Accrington. 2 from Lancashire and one from merseyside. They were so bias it was blatently obvious. We played poorly, but the officials had sewed the game up anyway.
