You only have to look at so many posts as the weeks have gone by to see the increasing cynicism. In fact, by not even providing regular updates, the club is giving the appearance of hardly bothering at all. The DON could well have been saying "Please can you all help to save my business", thus relying on the emotional commitment to the club that so many of us have, but even that lacked any sort of conviction or commitment to a cause. All that we've had, in effect, is "Don't worry; we'll be ok."
As macca said, the policy is losing us a lot of friends and will continue to do so.

I don’t wholly disagree; the way I’ve always looked at it is that they (the Club) where always going to make up the difference anyway due to the fact that they where never going to get the full amount via the public, that is without a major contributor/sponsor stepping up to the plate. In any respect their lack of contribution as not influenced my giving in any shape or form and I think for the majority of contributors the outcome will be the same; mainly because the bulk of donations have come from people who don’t read/partake in accyweb or are embroiled in the politicking that’s gone on since this particular bit of pup hit the fan.

I don't believe that for one minute!...............

Re: Today's Programme
Have a look through the pages on this forum for the various fundraising ideas that have already been undertaken.
As for individuals, I have no idea how much they have given. But be aware of the limitations of the so-called "roll of honour". Remember all the ways that money has been raised. ASSF committee members will have contributed in many different ways, possibly in time or in money, that do not necessarily appear on the SOS website.
And this will apply to club officials, too, by the way.

They never intended to stump up anything, to me it's now looking like lets see what the fans can raise then we will borrow the rest and not have to use any of our own cash.
Remember two of those b*stards " who have the future of the club within their control have stated that they would rather the club go under than ...."

Look harder. You can start with wristbands.
What point are you trying to make? Look at the thread "Members ASSF Ltd" if you want to know more about them.
Are you Redskin in disguise??

Re: Today's Programme
Just because an event does not have ASSF stamped all over it,it does not mean that members of the ASSF have not given time or money to the SOS Appeal, many will have rearranged their own daily lives to give a hand to the SOS appeal bucket collections selling sos t shirts, waistbands to name but a few of the things, not to forget high lighting the SOS appeal.
I am not a member of the ASSF but no matter what our own views are about the appeal,i would be very carefull when questioning what groups have done what to aid the appeal, this is not about oh i did this or i did that for the appeal its about fans doing what they can for the appeal, group membership aside!

I think that you are getting ASSF and OSC mixed up. It's the Supporters Club (OSC) that paid for the wristbands and all monies raised from sales are being donated to SOS.

Re: Today's Programme
ASFC Directors did get the club into this mess,i do not believe for 1 min they could for see it coming to this (not that they didnt know they had this to pay just how badly things have be handled)but they run the club so the buck stops with them.
The ASSF or OSC do not run the club but try to put each groups points to the board re the club, they do not have a huge say,if any in how the club is run.(this may change with the new shares from khan)
But both groups have helped with the SOS appeal along with other fans
End of the day does it really matter who did the most ,gave the most time ,gave the most money?
What does matter that the fans united and showed all that ASFC has a loyal fan base

Re: Today's Programme
I was going to put another long winded one in to answer exile in wales, but I can't really be bothered.
Turns up all of a sudden questioning what individual people have done or not done. I personally put money in via every means possible. Every bucket collection, every sale item, standing on stalls if necessary, manning wristband sales pitches, hours and hours of trying to arrange, cajole, organise etc. But then again I aint a director of ASSF, just an ordinary fan. Who happens to be involved with a group that have been trying to protect the future of the club that this idiot is claiming to be part of.

No one can question the time effort or money you have put in for the appeal

Bit more effort wouldn't go amiss. You've had weeks to get to the bank and remortgage your house

This is from the save our stanley website ...
Unfortunately the roll of honour can only list the names of those who donate by paypal and email.
So if you dont have a paypal account or send it by email .. then your name wont be on the list just like mine wont be ... seeing as i dont have a paypal account ..
