all im saying is, we are more than halfway through the season and still play offs is a big possibility, you can not get rid of a manager in this situation, this is a good league and we are still the newboys, 10th was good last season if we can improve on that there is no reason i can find to have a moan at the manager.

It's obvious that's what we're doing, but how do we get out of it??
That's what managements all about......getting the best out of the people working for you.....playing on their strengths, accounting for their weaknesses.
Do we have a problem with our players, or our management????

Re: todays team vs tamworth
Why did we wait for the first minute of the second half to be played before we brought on Craney for Cook, why not sub him at half time ?
Where was Jagielka ?
Why did we have TWO goalkeepers on the bench ?
Evil was more interested in his personal duel with Redmile than passing the ball.
Smith made a schoolboy error for the goal - letting the ball bounce.
Cav is the captain yet he never opens his mouth - Cook was doing all the shouting.
Why does Crichton act stupid most of the time ?
When are we going to get our defence sorted out ?
When are we going to score a goal - three games without one ?
If we don't get these things sorted out we will be lucky to finish in the top half of the league.

Re: todays team vs tamworth
Although I believe a change of management and approach are necessary it's realistically not going to happen I know. I think it was Tin Monkey who, some time ago, pointed out what such action would cost the club. Then again, if gates continue to fall (somewhat likely in the circumstances) who knows..? The gate against York will be very interesting.

Re: todays team vs tamworth
I'll say one thing, though, the games coming up in the Conference and Marsden Cups have taken on a whole new significance.
They could be the only realistic thing left to play for this season.

Re: todays team vs tamworth
Isn't footy brilliant? Coley and Jimmy have dragged this club kicking and screaming out of non-league obscurity, so just because expectations haven't yet been reached in the FIRST season of full time football, let's kick them out!! Brilliant, absolutely brilliant! Instead of all the negativity that appears in threads such as this one, why not try supporting the team and the management, get behind them and try thinking positively, you never know, you might even like it!!!

We've just had 20 questions for the club with only 18 people responding why didnt you ask any?

Bazf
If you take notice you will see that the title of the thread is "Todays team vs Tamworth" which was on Saturday 22nd January 2005. Please explain to me when we had 20 questions either on or after this date. Still no constructive reply just meaningless comments.

Re: todays team vs tamworth
Cav is the captain yet he never opens his mouth - Cook was doing all the shouting.
obviously not all the time only against Tamworth
Why does Crichton act stupid most of the time ?
again most of the time or only against tamworth
When are we going to get our defence sorted out ?
Seems a reasonable question to ask at any time
Meaningless comments or only if we disagree with you?

Re: todays team vs tamworth
In reply to TM's comments, we haven't got a cat in hells chance in either cup - Shrimpers in the Marsden, and although we may very well beat York (although on the basis of us losing against lower opposition- remember Leigh in the FA cup) we might not. I am not championing the idea of releasing JC or JB but maybe our tactics need changing, because most teams are reading how we play.
