Re: Tommy Leigh charged

I saw this earlier today. I don't remember the incident but it happened after 2 minutes. Video evidence must be clear and Shrewsbury must have complained, so expect a ban.

Re: Tommy Leigh charged

Steve Cotterill was complaining about it in his post match interview and unfortunately the evidence looks pretty clear although we don't know what happened before that to provoke him. I think we're looking at 3 matches without him.

Re: Tommy Leigh charged

Unfortunately it's all about what gets picked up by the camera. I'm sure something must have happened to provoke Tommy but the camera missed that bit as it did with the Colby incident.

Re: Tommy Leigh charged

The Fishy site says Tommy has to respond “by Wednesday”

As he played (well) last night, do we presume he had to respond by midnight on Wednesday?

Re: Tommy Leigh charged

And let’s hope a lesson learned.
I’m sure he was provoked as that Shrews player was a pain in the arse all day, constant niggling little fouls, pushes in the back, moaning and gesturing, but the better response to such wind-up merchants is to bang in a goal or two.
Hope Tommy can recharge his batteries and come back better than ever now he’s being played where he’s best suited.
