Just heard latest update and they mentioned Halliwell in goal and trialist striker, think they said Gary King

Re: Tonite v Burscough
Two different teams in each half, except for John Miles who played both halves. Quite a few trialists played in the first half. The lad up front in the second half was called Gary something, but if it was King then he's the young player from Lincoln.
We looked better in the second half than the first and played at a much higher tempo. We could have scored a bag full, but for some smart saves and some weak finishing. Burscough goal was a deflected free-kick.

Re: Tonite v Burscough
Not the most entertaining game ever but was something to do on a boring tuesday! I thought Burscough played quite alright against some first team players in both halves of the game! I thought Miles played well but as it was a friendly did seem half of the time he couldnt be bothered, Andy Proctor played well, always winning headers and also Bobby Grant played quite well and getting a goal. In the second half Symes had chances galore and all game we knew it wasnt his game and just wasted chance after chance! Chris Turner didnt play that well but put a few good crosses in, Kingy played well when he came on! We should of won this but its only a pre season!
Something i did see potential with was their number 7 and i think Tin Monkey would agree!! He has bags of pace, skill and also good feet and passed well! Was the main threat for Burscough in the first half running at our defenders and must of megged our right back about 5 times. One to look out for i think!!
Nice to see some stanley fans around the ground too!

Re: Tonite v Burscough
Jay Bell 'played' for Burscough, he was outstanding. So outstanding that he was subbed after about 10 minutes.

To be fair, he was injured and hobbled off.

Hobbled off? He hobbled ON, and was puffing and panting before the kick off. Burscough have probably seen enough, it will be Prescot Cables next week, and then Waterloo Dock with McGivern.
