Re: Torquay Match thread
Taken from the Torquay fans messageboard tonight:-
All in all Stanley were a class above today, more aggressive, first to the ball, better passing play, and a defence that was solid with a "clear lines at all costs" attitude...
All in all we didn't deserve anything today and moreover were given a footballing lesson...
They deservedly won the game by keeping it simple - playing simple passes when appropriate and making intelligent runs and actually looking for the ball to be played to them.
Accrington were as good as we were bad and thoroughly deserved their victory.
Sounds OK to me!

I particularly liked - "we've just been stuffed by a team who haven't won away in 45 years. "
Cart on Stanley, cart on.

Re: Torquay Match thread
Even better:-
"Stanley looked two divisions better than us without doubt especially going forward
I actually thought that we made Accrington look like Real Madrid."
Is Craney the new Beckham?

Re: Torquay Match thread
Just arrived home from the game - I live in Bristol so this was an easy one for me. Believe me, they were excellent again. All worked extremely hard. Good saves again from Ian Dunbavin, rock(y) solid defence, organised midfield, always dangerous in attack. Just great.

Re: Torquay Match thread
Just been reading The League Paper. We're third in the current form (last six matches) table and we have no less than four players in the Div Two team of the week (Ian Dunbavin, Leam, Gary and Rommy).

Re: Torquay Match thread
Redash - obviously a bit more teccy than the rest of us. Any chance of doing it every game? We could get a specific thread set up with every goal on, it would certainly help with the goal of the season award!

I recorded it on the computer and cut the clip out of the championship with windvd creator. Saved as WMV because it's a small file size.

Re: Torquay Match thread
Thank you Redash, fantastic day for the travelling fans and us who wished we had made the trip. Gary Roberts your a little star, just make sure you shine on Stanley for a few more years. Mr Welch, what can we say other than thank you. Kipax, just seen the photos again thank you. The goal coverage is first class and the Mr Roberts sequence was extremely entertaining. Can I also say that the Referee was a star for how he awarded the card? He had to do it, of course, but he did it with a smile and an obvious appreciation. Thank you.
