Re: Torquay Match Thread

Huge win. May I just say a HUGE well done to Jb and the team as i for one doubted his ability after 11 games and even at christmas but he hasnt just turned it around he has done absolutely magnificent to get us away from the bottom two. So well done to everyone involved and long may it continue.

Re: Torquay Match Thread

Not a game to remember, but a win's a win and it was a very dogged, determined performance. Nothing to separate us in the first half, but after the break we both seemed to be more adventurous and neither wanted to settle for a point.

Really well taken goal by Naismith and an inspired substitution. (most of us were screaming for Odejayi to go off) - He was poor today, could hardly stay on his feet and constantly looked for free-kicks instead of going for the ball. Murphy ran his socks off, Bettenelli was solid (so were the rest of the defence).

Ref seemed determined to give them everything and I was amazed when he booked one of theirs for diving rather than give a penalty.

Best part of the day for me was just after the goal - the whole team running towards Beattie and the bench to celebrate. Shows real team spirit and teams with that sort of spirit don't often go down. This set of players are living and breathing for Beattie.

Great day out, great result and before I forget - Happy Anniversary to my Wife (This was her Anniversary day out)

Safe Trip Back to all who travelled.

A great win turned into a vital win as Bury got that 94th minute winner!

Good post and in total agreement except for your views on the first half.Torquay never once bothered Bettinelli in the first half whereas I thought we should have gone in at halftime 2-0.......we had 5 good chances Odejayi should have buried his and Joyce burst through one on one but just pushed his through ball to far.A sorry lot of home fans and can't see much hope for Torquay and one of the stewards was more obnoxious than me but we shook hands at full time.A fantastic day all round .......Roll on Portsmouth.....
