Re: Torquay thread
Trying to put our week into perspective. Unlucky to only draw with Cheltenham and a good performance. Team showed good character to come back after falling behind when it would have been easy to cave in, given the circumstances.
A great result at Rochdale, however we weren't brilliant and 3-0 flattered us. Thought we lacked creativity and any real threat yesterday and didn't deserve anything more from the game.
So, on balance, 5 points from 9 is probably what the performances over the 3 games merit. However, a single point at home against a fellow struggler is not good enough.
As many other posters have commented, Aldred has looked solid in the 2 games and may well be the assurance at the back we need. Despite saying in a previous post that I didn't think Linganzi was the answer from the couple of times I'd seen him for Blackburn reserves, he's shown enough in the 3 games he's come on, that he can be a positive force at this level and deserves a start.
If we take anything from Sat, it will be a bonus with the 3 home games following Sat being make or break. We must take at least 7 points, and 6 of those must come against Barnet and Wimbledon - we simply cannot afford to draw or lose these games as, with these 2 wins the table will look a different prospect for the last few games. We can't afford to drop points at home to the teams around us.
The players have to take each game as it comes, but the management team should be looking 4 or 5 games ahead in their planning.
Really need as many as possible to get to the ground and get behind the team for these 3 games. The gate on Sat was woeful.
