Re: Torquay v Shrews 1st leg

Torquay would still bring a fair amount north for the final, remember they are seasoned campaigners in recent years and have 5 finals (play offs and FA Trophy) to their name. I'd still expect 15k from them up here,

What I saw in the first half was that Shrewsbury were dangerous down the wings, with some excellent overlapping. If the young lad was able to deliver a cross then Torquay would never have won. The Frenchies were all about pressure and fair put it on early, but I didn't see an awful lot of quality to be scared off. Tomlin up front was a bit of a handful mind.

Probably makes no difference it being up North , only 40 miles difference between OT & Wembley for them

Just back from game - not a lot to be worried about to be honest. Torquay deserved to win, but still think shrewsbury are capable of winning 3-0 up there. Was talking to a lot of chipnickers in the bar after the game and they really wanted to avoid us in the semis. Looking forward to the game tomorrow, lets put on a show for the nation and stuff SEWERage home and away !!!!!!

Re: Torquay v Shrews 1st leg

Thing that i noticed was the "Shrews" player of year, n the guy the fans told us to watch on easter monday- "Sharps" centre half, went off injured at 0-0, i reckon if he aint fit Torquay will hold on next Friday.
