Re: Tranmere (H) Match Thread
Sounds like Gray and Carver up front worked a treat, which pleases me a lot as I have always been a fan of the (bigger than he was) blond lad! I just hope JB persists with this formation, certainly at home and possibly away. Unlike Football19 with his "clean sheet" approach I am a fan of the "you score 3 and we'll score 4" gung ho plan!

Only problem i can see wi that un is- if they score 3 were unlikely to score 4.

Re: Tranmere (H) Match Thread
Not negative Redraine,I would sooner us win 3-0 than 3-2 !!.
Believe me now when I say we won't be scoring three goals every game.they paid the price for playing a 20 and 21 year at CB.
Our last four games we have conceded nine goals, play like that and we will go down
Anyway,we should rejoice in our victory !!!

Re: Tranmere (H) Match Thread
Ok, it wasn't always pretty but all that matters at the end of the day is that our boys pulled off their first win of the season today - we might not all agree with the starting line up or timing of the subs etc, etc but we are now well & truly off the mark - onwards & upwards lads.& I for one can say I'm proud of the resilience shown today

Re: Tranmere (H) Match Thread
I saw no way back at 1-2, it was a very unexpected win, but I suppose Stanley were due some luck.
Most Tranmere fans were in good spirits in the town centre afterwards, a good day all round.

Re: Tranmere (H) Match Thread
Always interesting to read other fans views, if only to confirm that every club has it's moaners who will never be happy.

Re: Tranmere (H) Match Thread
Our pitch is brilliant!!! only last season when other games were called off , waterlogged eg Blackburn Rovers etc, we played as our drainage is much improved. We have a groundsman who " mothers " the pitch. So Carlisle , don't moan about our pitch , we here in Accrington are very proud of it.

Re: Tranmere (H) Match Thread
I think it was Tranmere fans complaining about the wet pitch in the link that Davo provided. Guess it never rains in Birkenhead.
Carlisle fans wouldn't complain about any other playing surface because they know Brunton Park, when it's not flooded, is the best in the country.

Re: Tranmere (H) Match Thread
Most clubs water the pitch just before the game anyway. I hope that fan doesn't report it to the league that the rain got on the pitch

Re: Tranmere (H) Match Thread
GREAT RESULT!
I missed the match as I was away in Scotland running in my 27th Ben Nevis Race!
I had a good run for a 62 year old and it totally made my day when, after the race, I read the text from my daughter about the three points!!!
Celebrated post race, and post match, with 7....... (possibly 8?) pints of good ale, with loads of runner friends in The Grog and Gruel in Fort William!
Just read the reports this morning and watched the 'Fishy' videos and sounds like a deserved win. I like the sound of the developing Carver / Gray partnership up front and the 'steel' that Procky has brought back.
Well done to JB and the squad.......
Onwards and upwards
