T'Stanley Programme

In the January edition of Programme Monthly is a revue /analysis of the Stanley programme. ....'It is not the biggest, and it's not the cheapest, but it has its charms and some bery readable bright features. Design is no-nonsense but colourful, and its limitations (and pushing-it price) are excused by its distrtinctive look and feel. Plus Points: simple presentation makes several good features easy to read and easy on the eye. Edited by Dan Jewell and Martyn Biddulp. No printer credited.'

Do the editors work for the club or the Supporters Association? or, as is sometime the case, do they edit others clubs' programmnes?

Up to fairly recently the programme was printed by Naylers of Church.

Re: T'Stanley Programme

Hi Bob
I saw the bit on Stanley's programme in Programme Monthly. I took some of it as a compliment!!!

To answer your question, the Nayler group still design the pages and print the programmes. It does say as much on the contents page of the programme, but Programme Monthly must have missed that bit!

I am a freelance journalist who provides a lot of the content for the programme (and the website for that matter) including interviews, match reports etc. There are also a group of sports journalism students from UCLAN who contribute regularly, with Martyn Biddulph having been involved for a couple of years now.

The other main contributor is Hannah Berry who is the only one who actually works at the club on a day-to-day basis.

Hope that clears all up. As you can see (as always with Stanley) it's a bit of a Heath Robinson arrangement!

Ta
Dan
