Re: Tues 12th scores

i can. morecambe are certain for playoffs in my book, so too Carlisle.

I think we need Northwich (in form remember) to beat Aldershot on Sat and then Halifax to lose wherever they play. Thats Stanleys only chance presuming they win all 3 remaining games

NO.

We are virtually certain to make the playoffs if we win all three games.

Look at the table...

If we beat Aldershot, we will be on the same number of points and a far better goal difference (once that victory is taken into account), so they would have to beat Northwich and Scarborough by very large margins to finish ahead of us on goal difference (remember that our goal difference will also improve from three wins)

Halifax can only stay above us if they win all three matches. But if they did so, then they would have to beat Hereford (unlikely), Farnborough (very likely) and Woking (possible). It is still possible for them to win all three games and for us to surpass them on goal difference.

If Hereford do lose to Halifax and ourselves, they would have to beat Woking away next Tuesday to stay ahead of us on goal difference. That is also quite possible.

Three wins and we could easily finish in 4th position and play Morecambe in the playoffs

But have you seen how many penalties they are getting?
The refs must feel sorry for them - understandable!

Re: Tues 12th scores

Lets all be realistic, it is all about who Stanley play. We cannot and dare not rely on other teams around us to assist us in our goal of getting to the play-offs. I can see that realistically, we should replace Aldershot on GD to gain our entry to the play-offs. Personally, I cannot see the Shrimpers (sorry Morecambe but I know you hate being called that) making the play-offs. As a previous poster has said, Carlisle and Hereford look home and dry, It is between Morecambe, Aldershot, Halifax, Stevenage and Accy Stanley to make up the other 2 slots. My personal favourites are Halifax and Accy, but then we have to play Carlisle home and away prior to the final against Hereford - me thinks. Oh well, you have to beat the best to join Barnet in league 2. Int' words of our illustrious manager KEEP THE FAITH.

Is anyone else just not really bothered how we do it just that we do it if we win our games then if barnet beat etc my statement If we win our next 3 games we will have done the best we could do and i would be pround of stanley even if we dont get a playoff place just to be in with a shout of playoffs is amasing for a club that is in its first season on being full time pro.

So stanley win the next three games and i will be happy

Your not kidding - you just know Morecambe aren't gonna score until Twiss gets his obligatory penalty!!

Re: Tues 12th scores

The reason we are getting penalties is because dirty players keep chopping our players like Danny Carlton Michael Twiss etc in the penalty box. Quite simple really.
Hope you have a nice draw at Woking and that will eliminate both Accy and Woking.
