Two Clomes( pub) Quintrell Downs Cornwall.

This pub is not far from Newquay. I stopped for a swift one and I was staggered to see a signed Stanley shirt in a case by the bar.

The 'Clomes' appeared in the American TV Series...'Sheep in the City'....

Although I think that Slerpy's 'Two Clomes' might have a different origin!!.

(Alfred.E. thinks that this posting is a good example of Important Trivia!!)

'ON STANLEY!!!...ON!!!'

p.s Slerpy...What is a 'Clome' anyway???.

Then perhaps a 'Clome', or a pair of them, is not a Cornish idiosyncrasy after all, but is actually somebody or something peculiar to the good people or environs of 'BASH'!.

(Alfred.E. says 'You can lead a gift horse to water but you can't look him in the mouth !'....which seems to make more sense than pursuing this time-wasting posting any further !! ).

'ON STANLEY!!!....ON!!!!'

The term 'Opening a can of worms ' springs to mind Cashy!! ..Shhhhhhh !.

( Alfred.E. says that the term 'Fiddling while Rome burns' is the phrase which concerns him!....I wonder who or what he's on about ??).
