Re: under 23s v walsall
It was a comfortable victory for the Stanley U23’ team beating Walsall 7-0. Stanley had three or four players with first team experience whereas Walsall seemed to lack that experience. 2-0 at half time could have been four or five. Two early goals at the start of the second half saw Stanley pull well clear and deservedly so. Three more goals showed the difference in class and experience. Jack Nolan was the man of the match for me scoring two goals and looking very dangerous every time he was on the ball. Good to see Stanley giving some further experience to some of the U18 players and also to see Joe Hardy come on as a substitute. He seemed to have fully recovered from injury but still looked a bit ‘match rusty’.
Scorers: Nolan =2, Sykes=2, Mansell =2 and Perritt =1
Well done The Reds!
