Urgent! Asfc v nufc

Following the events of ASFC v NUFC on 25/08/2010

Anyone who feels they were mistreated by either the POLICE or STEWARDS before, during or after the game should make a complaint.

You may feel that it was only a SMALL THING: i.e. like being pushed out of the ground, or spoken to in an offensive manner, but each complaint no matter how big or small does count and should be recorded.

Also if anyone witnessed any fans (home or away) being mistreated by either the Police or Stewards or heard any offensive remarks from the Police or Stewards they should also make a statement to that effect.
We are working with the FSF (The Football Supporters Federation) to make a group complaint to all relevant bodies.

COMPLAINTS/STATEMENTS MUST BE IN A WRITTEN LETTER.

We also need your consent for us to deal with your complaint.

All details will be treated in confidence and we will not disclose personal details if requested not to.

As well as your full contact details, please try to provide the following information;

WHO? Police or stewards and jacket shoulder numbers if you have them (complaints/statements can still be made without numbers etc..)

WHERE? Where did the incident/s happen that led to your complaint/statement?

WHEN? When did the incident/s happen that led to your complaint/statement?

WHAT? Please describe the circumstances that have led to you feeling that the police/stewards
have treated you or other fans badly.

Please include details of:

Who was involved (even if you do not have names complaints and statements can still be made)

What was said and done

Any other people who witnessed the incident

If there was any damage or injury

Details of any witnesses

An address will be provided via email for letters to be sent to.

If YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE CONTACT US ASAP email: [email protected]

Many Thanks

Katei Blezard & Linda Hartley

Re: Urgent! Asfc v nufc

I was at the match, a Newcastle fan in the away end and although I'd like to help all I saw was fans mixing happily (as it should be) and the only copper I had any contact with actually said 'good evening' I parked near the ground which involved walking back down the 'hill' after the match for about 400m and saw nothing untoward at all.
I hope though, that any unnecessary heavy handed policing or stewarding is dealt with, there was no bad feeling that I detected and I have been going to matches since the late 70's
