Re: v Burnley ?

It's all very well playing this match behind closed doors as a training exercise for both sides but how does that help with the problem of the revenue we would have had from this game being on as usual at the Crown?

I can't really see the benefit of this game today, sandwiched between games at Southport last night and AFC Fylde tomorrow. after The AFC match there is nothing until the league starts in 10 days.

I suppose there must be some method in it but i'd imagine the palyers willbe absolutely cream crackered by tomorrow night.

Re: v Burnley ?

I believe that McConville scored both our goals. Blooming typical that the game was played behind closed doors!!!

Why, it's so predictable. We give you 2 goals start and then pull it back. It's an annual thing

Re: v Burnley ?

starting line up was the same as southport,Burnley were more or less full strength .Acci played them off the park and were 2-0 up at half time.
The team was changed to rest most of them.
Burnley got a right bollocking and some players didnt like it.
The players seem to be adapting to the 4-2-3-1 system and it would be another unbelievable piece of sweet talking if they get charlie burnett to sign, who played along side jimmy and razor to lift the youth cup.
Things are looking very rosy and these are all capable of playing at an higher level along with Bateson, deano and lindfield.
Throw in the experince of proccy, phil, hessey and joyce a great footballing team is emerging, hope the pitch doesnt dictate the way they play !!!!

Barnett has just been on trial with Falkirk and their manager, Steven Pressley, admitted that he would have loved to sign him, but couldn't afford him. It would be a coup if we could sign a player courted by Championship teams 12 months ago, but I can't really see how we could afford him either!

Re: v Burnley ?

It wouldnt be the first time that the manager sold the club to someone plus half of the team are his mates , and he could always bum a lift to training with them lol
Seriously All he needs is a full competitive season on his cv and he will play at an higher level along with a few others
