Unhappy Re: V Cambridge united Guess The Gate

Less than 1600 on from Stanley

Play-offs and above all season, yet still low crowds..........

£10 tickets, plus free tickets.........

Rovers and Clarets not the issue, all the Premiere League 'big boys' playing on Sunday.....

Very poor gate yesterday................

1300 hardcore, need to grow this

Re: V Cambridge united Guess The Gate

I'm frankly amazed at this 'official' attendance figure?
Our regular party of 2 was increased by a further 3 adults + 4 grandkids on their 1st visit.
We all commented that we hadn't seen the Clayton end as full since our play-off game on the last day of the season 2 years ago.
Even the Jack Barratt stand looked full.
Only 1603 home fans????
I smell something fishy! - and we don't play the Shrimps till a week on Tuesday

Re: V Cambridge united Guess The Gate

Me and Cashman were on holiday not together I add but that would have been 2 more on the gate but I have been to many games before when there seems more on than is announced does anybody know what the Clayton end and main stand actually can hold because officially our capacity of the ground is supposed to be 5057 no way could you get all them in.

When I looked around, I thought that the gate would be well below 2000.

Plenty of room round me - Clayton End - and in other areas of the ground.

Not sure what anybody gains from quoting lower numbers???

Well, when I looked around I thought the gate would be above 2000.
I've attended every home game this season standing behind the Clayton End.
Normally, the entire length of the lower terrace is usually half empty - not on Saturday!
We couldn't get near our normal spot & had to stand on the top access passageway to watch the game.
Our grandkids were right on the front row, as it was the only spot where they could actually see the pitch. We struggled to see them as the whole lower terrace was packed.
Likewise, the Clayton end of the Blackrock Stand is rarely full - on Saturday it was.
If your unsure why anybody could gain from quoting lower numbers - see an accountant.
