Re: v Morecambe Match Thread
Great afternoon,Stanley dominated first 45 mins fer me, should have gone in wi at least a couple of goals, second half, seemed to give ball away cheaply early doors, Dunbavin made couple of good stops at 1-1 to keep us in it, then the real Reds turned up again, great goal from Hughes, Amond made great long run n Roche made a decent save, finished game pretty well, overall a well earned 3 pts. ON STANLEY ON.

Re: v Morecambe Match Thread
couldnt make the game due to partying in tenerife!!!,my mate went(as dean got him free tickets.cheap skate). He said Acci had the best of the first half, but morecambe started the second in a determined mood, and deserved the equalizer.
Wind spoiled a lot of the game, and a draw would have been a fair result.
He was impressed at Accis defending and was shocked at the vocal support from the ultras,in his words, they stopped bloody singing and giving support!!!.
Speaking to Dean after the game,it was 50-50 wheither he played due to flu,but hesseys hamstring strain put paid to that.
He to mentioned the support of the fans, did a good following go??,its a bit strange him saying that as they are normally focused on the game.
All said,it looks like Acci are flying at the moment, with cover for all positions---is promotion still a dream ????

Re: v Morecambe Match Thread
Three coach loads plus many who made it under their own steam kind of support!!
The wind affected the volume of ultra's singing as much as the ball but, as always, JC, JB and the team went to applaud the Stanley boys at the end of the match.

Re: v Morecambe Match Thread
Excellent result today. Yes we dominated first half but Morecambe came out full on for second half. When they equalised I feared that we could have easily gone further behind. The lads stuck to their guns and Bavs did some brave stuff in goalmouth mixes. Fab goal for the winner...real class ...it looked perfect from amongst the Ultras. Ultras were superb apart from a couple of really thick geezers constantly pushing from behind . The sound inside the stand was terrific and the players showed their appreciation and joy at getting another 3 points at the end. Well done the Reds!!

Re: v Morecambe Match Thread
Does anyone know know how many Stanley fans made the trip to Morecambe. It seemed a good number to me. Bryan Hughes goal was brilliant. Just hope we can hang on to him.

Re: v Morecambe Match Thread
It's very amusing to read the comments on the Shrimps forum, with not a shred of credit given to us. Just the usual "worst Stanley team for years", "not impressed with Stanley at all", and "they were there for the taking", blah, blah, blah. The funniest thing of all is that they say exactly the same things every year! I thought Morecambe played well, but what they lack is the steel which Coley drills into his teams, and of course, wonderful fans like ours who give their team 100%, unrelenting support throughout, home or away, and not just for a few minutes after scoring.

Re: v Morecambe Match Thread
Well the best away day ive had in a LONG time, thing ive just about recovered , I blame Elton John !
Massively pleasing result, and even better to see super Bryan Hughes's comments in the Sun today saying "We dont fear anybody in this league". Another good performance from him, his goal was a class apart.
Nice to see Stockley score again, though he didnt look fit at all, but in the end it didnt matter, also great that Micah Evans is back in the reckoning. What a weapon he could be in the last 20-30 minutes of a game!
Great to see so many Stanley fans make the trip, I have a feeling a few Rovers fans joined us yesterday
Roll on Hereford !!!
