I know it wasnt very fair regarding the Bury predictions but those that made one in time (shurm
) have been counted and dabeast, I wouldnt moan too much - youre way in the lead. You can all see the latest prediction league table to include the Bury predictions here :
http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/f...ame-51176.html
Or you can find the thread called ASFC Prediction League Table after Bury game.
So time to bring everyone up to date then.
Let me take you back to the 1-1 draw away at Valley Parade on the 21st November - yes it really is that long since I posted the last league table..
A few winners on that week, well done to the following who predicted a 1-1 draw would be the final outcome that day and got 5 points towards their totals :
AccyAggro,
smudgie,
david1,
jaysay,
LongLostSon,
caretaker and
Revived Red.
Next league game was the fine win at the Pirelli - a 2-0 win over the Brewers and only 2 people correctly predicted that scoreline, well done to
Redash and
ukcowboy.
Following on from that was the home win over Torquay. Only 'goalcrazy' competition leader
dabeast got 5 points for correctly predicting that scoreline and nigeb's post didnt count that week for their us/them post.
Notts County away next - the game Ive heard so much about, how we just ripped moneybags Sven and his backers apart on a shoestring. Only 2 people correctly predicted a 2-1 Stanley win, well done to
mab and
sparkie.
That brings us up to the Christmas period and next was the annual 3 point take from local (friendly) rivals, Morescum
at Christie Park. Who needs a 12 million pound ground when youve got Edwards in your side? Quite a few people agreed that the final score would be 2-1 to the Stanley, well done to the following who all got their 5 points :
mab (again),
Outback Ozzy,
sparkie (again),
MikeA,
Redfred,
jaysay,
deeayess,
Div3North,
glosterred and
Leylandii. DAV007's us them post didnt count for that week.
Lastly was this thread - the Bank Holiday fixture against Bury. Once again, I apologise for not starting the prediction thread but must thank dabeast for starting it on my behalf. Nobody correctly predicted a 4-2 home defeat by Bury and to be honest it was a bit of a shock. I was watching Sky Sports Live Score Centre and after we had scored, for a while we were 6th in the live league table - gutted it all went boobies up (including other results) so that we finished the evening 11th but I will take a strong midtable position at New Year any day..
I promise to make a much more concerted effort to keep this up to date now but its really late so will start the Rotherham predictions tomorrow evening.
Fag n bed - nite all
