We only have the one betting agency here -TAB. There bookies only offer odds down to the 'Championship' level,so Div 1 and 2 supporters miss out (unless advanced stages of cup rounds).

Re: vs Chesterfield

The first half wasn`t good, i think if you include the overhead kick we had 2 attempts on goal, Chesterfield though didn`t deserve a half time lead but the young lad Ward took it well and the finish was top class, what was Bav doing though ?.
Second half was much better, they started to play a lot better about 15 mins in, yeah it still wasn`t brilliant but Chesterfield didn`t seem to wanna know, maybe it was the Lancashire cold that put them off, as they obviously do play better than that looking at where they are in the league, we were still devoid of any idea on defending but lucky for us that Chesterfield never got going, but 3 pts is 3pts and there were signs of improvement so i think that the doom and gloom mist might be starting to lift a little, maybe not a lot but we are now 11pts above the relegation zone as opposed to 8pts before todays game.

I did i just have a £1 bet every week on Stanley winning 2-1 so i`m double chuffed today.

Kiwi, you could try one of the online bookies like i use, that way you can put a bet on any game being played, most also offer a free £25 bet to new customers.

Re: vs Chesterfield

10-1
So i would`nt even be able to get one round in, but it does mean that it only cost me £3 to get in today.

Re: vs Chesterfield

Yeah not brilliant odds.
To say it was 18-1 for Chesterfield to win 3-1 which i would have thought would have been nearer the correct result, obviously somebody somewhere knew something we didn`t.

Re: vs Chesterfield

Frist Half Rubbish!
Second Half imense, whatever was in the tea at half time must be given before the game
We really did get up and get at them and did not allow Chesterfield to play in the Second Half don't forget this is a team who out of nine away games before today had won six, drawn two & lost only once in that perspective today was an Excellent victory and the scenes at the end of the game on the pitch were reminiscent of staying up last season. I think for the first time in a while the team played as exactly that! Challenges went in and were won, we were first to the ball, good use of the wings and not just the long hoof & hope we have been used to of late. The crowd played a massive part the Second Half and the team responded!

Excellent Day at the Office

Bringing Shaun Whalley on is a cunning subterfuge to make the opposition defence laugh so much they won't be able to play. This lad will never make a footballer as long as he has a hole in his arris.
If this was Coleman turning on the style I'd hate to see it when he turns it off again.

Got to disagree with this, I think shakermaker's got it right about Whalley. He crosses the ball beautifully with his left foot doesn't he?

I never said that he was great, but by running at big defenders with pace, you're always going to cause more problems than just pumping it up to Mullin. That's food and drink to big lads like that.
It was the pace of Dsane that won the penalty and I thought that Whalley caused more problems (even if it wasn't always as planned) than the Sunderland lad did all afternoon, purely because he has pace.

On the other side, what was the point of Miles?

Re: vs Chesterfield

I can see both points concerning Whalley, he`s not that good a footballer, but when he came on he did cause them problems.

As for Miles i dont have an answer to that one.

Re: vs Chesterfield

Whalley is surely as easy to deal with as a long ball up to Mullin. He's either going to cut in to get the ball on his right foot, at which point he should be tackled or he's going to attempt to run the defender and end up stubbing his left toe into the ground to watch the ball roll harmlessly away.
As for Miles, Branch and one or two others, only Coleman can tell us why he persists with them.
