He was overweight when he came from Rochdale (aged 22), he was overweight when he left for Wrexham (aged 23), he was overweight on his return to Stanley (aged 25). The older he gets it is only going to get harder for him to get, and stay, fit. As for putting his mind to it; having seen his attitude in the Clubhouse after yesterday's game. I have severe doubts that particular organ exists.

read the posts again, we all want Evil to be the Evil we knew and loved.

whether the fans are having a go or not, he should be able to take it, he is a professional footballer.

absolute tripe! it should make him want to prove us all wrong more than anything. If the attitude is that he will be less keen to perform he should leave now and be done with.

I don't give a damn who reads what on here, if they are performing sub standardly then they deserve to be slated. Can you imagine Alex Ferguson driving around the newsagents in Manchester taking all the newspapers off the shelves just so his pampered stars don't read any criticism? They get the plaudits when things are going well and they take the flak when things aren't going well. They know that when they sign their contracts. There are very few people who will actively seek to ruin a player's confidence but we all reserve the right to criticise.

At the moment Lee is getting the flak for being half a yard off the pace and his ball control is letting him down big time. Thats possibly not his fault if he has not had much match practise over the last 12 months - but it is Coleys fault if he is playing a guy who isn't yet at the races. Especially when there are 6 other players who want the second striker spot.

No idea if you are Coley or not, but if you are then I'm surprised. The (small) crowd of loyal fans hardly ever get on the players' backs, even when it's dire like it was on Saturday. I often hear people groaning on the match (when I can hear them over that bloody tannoy), but I hardly ever hear them shouting out abuse onto the pitch. More often than not i hear people encouraging players.

The forum is for fans to discuss their views. Of course there are differences of opinion and we're never all going to agree. One person has criticised Williams. One person! Oh well.

Re: vs Darlington

I too find it hard to believe you are the REAL coley if you spit your dummy on the floor when someone airs an opinion you don`t like. I would have imagined the hardcore scouse guvnor to have a bit more mettle. I think the real deal would be more inclined to say "Shut up d**kheads, who knows these players best" or maybe that`s my idealism again.

Re: vs Darlington

More good stuff from the Hereford forum results round up, after their referee- assisted win at Barnet!

"Our team showed great composure not to react to the provocation. Only ACCY STANLEY dish out more rubbish on the pitch in League 2 at the moment - and they look totally doomed to bottom spot this season after a hefty home loss on Saturday."

gotta agree with others who now doubt your true identity.

Last weeek you defended Evil, this week Rocky - are you now beyond defending Evil? for he has surely taken more flak this week than last week!

Messageboards will always be full of opinion, which is just that. It is neither fact nor fiction but purely how somebody interprets what he has seen or heard. For that reason alone the club no longer operates its own forum.

As a manager of men and manager of Stanley I have a great deal of respect for you (or the real Coley) but as a contributor to this forum you will not be missed should you make good your promise to spit the dummy and not play any more.

Any time you wish to contribute in a more constructive way than taking away people's right to criticise then please join me on the OSC site where your input into how we can move forward off the pitch will be greatly received. Or how about joining in when people have questioned your decision to start Paul Mullin absolutely every week and play him for 90 minutes even when his marker has the better of him, or when people have questioned your decision to not play any substitutions, or to play such abody or suchabody. You are the manager of a greatly successful Accrington Stanley squad for nine seasons, we trust your decisions because they have got us where we are today. But you freely admit that you get it wrong from time to time. Come on here and tell US that you got it wrong. The hoardes will respect you more for doing so.

Further more, no doubt you rollock certain players every damn week in the dressing room, this is our dressing room.

Keeping the faith

got no friends to bring

Wink Re: vs Darlington

Dear Coley........Please take time to post just one more time and inform me/us the reason(s) for Stanley's appalling shipping of goals as my own infantile attempts are obviously as wrong as can be. The vision of the team's goals against being substantially more last season without old `Rocky` (perhaps that should be `Dodgy`) is enough to make a stone image laugh! Go on...just one more post, please and I can retire with my tail between my legs - a sadder but wiser and more informed d..khead!

Re: vs Darlington

Interesting game summary here: ESPNsoccernet English League Two GameCast

Not sure the locations/players are entirely accurate, but it confirms my thoughts that we concentrated far too much on shooting from outside the box.

Re: vs Darlington

I have to agree with Carpon and to a certain degree with Qualtrough. I couldnt believe it when i saw that Coley had blamed Kenney Arthur for the first goal on Saturday. It is just another example of how Coley seems to protect and shield Rocky from any criticism. I think Rocky has to accept some responsibility for all three goals conceeded on Saturday. Nobody could doubt the commitment that Rocky has shown over the last few years indeed he has had some briliant games but like Carpon says he has a tendency to switch off. Rocky like every other player has made mistakes in the past that have proved costly however he has always appeared blameless in the eyes of the management team. Contrast this with Welchy who last season was singled out for blame after making mistakes in the away game at Rochdale and not long after left the club? There is no doubt that Coley and Jimmy Bell have worked wonders in resurrecting Stanley and I am sure they will take Stanley even higher, however I think their insistance that Rockys name is one of if not the first name on the team sheet sometimes regardless of his performances is one of the negatives of their reign at Stanley.

Re: vs Darlington

dont really have any choice if he plays or not though really. We only have 2 centre backs. I know edwards can play there but i dont think he is suited to that position. He was at fault for the goal but dont forget the ball has already come past another 9 players before him and kenny.
