Re: vs Mansfield
I thought we played alright bu tnowt more than. The first 10 or 15 minutes Mansfield threatened to spoil the party but after that they had nowt really.
Didn't really notice Webb so is that a good thing or a bad thing?
Arthur. did okay nowt troubled him and we have a new 'tune' for him . Every time he touches the ball he gets the Scottish tune that we know no what it orignates from. But you all know it.
Cavanagh I thought he revelled in a role with a little less defensive responsibility. Did well going forward and what he had to do defensively (20 yards further forward than usual) he did well.
Carden. Showed some glimpses of what is to come (hopefully) but had no grip on the game and didn't affect the outcome one way or the other. Subbed for Boco.
Mullin. Usual game from the maestro. Played well particularly in the first half. The goal he scored WAS pure class. Beyond 12 yards out and between two defenders he directed a header right where the keeper was not going to attmept to gather it from.
Roscoe. Two or three slightnesses aqway from being man of the match. Exceptional movement off the ball and had their defenders running all over the place. But the finishing was abysmal.
Proctor. Played the game we now expect from him. Industrious and graft rather than craft But how unlucky was his 30 yarder that hit the bar?

Re: vs Mansfield
No mention of Evil? Thought he kept the ball well when he came on and his through ball to Richardson was sublime.
Still has a lot to prove, though.

I can testify that Mr C did indeed have a highly enjoyable afternoon on the Clayton End. As for him turning up for the Wrexham match, I think it'll take a bit more entice him back to his first love!

Re: vs Mansfield
Kenny was so busy in goals he had time to nibble his banana regulary
yes kept spotting webb but dont know why cos i didnt see much of his play other than up & down the pitch
Carden didnt realise he was on till he was subbed
Roscoe should of blumming scored!! but agree great movement on the ball.
Mullin & Cav, usual exceptional efforts - great goal mully
WHY EVIL???????

yes he was and it kept me and sparkie guessing, was he or wasn't he...sparkie decided .. yes he was
And I think kenny was a bit under the weather, not necessarily performance wise but I think he's either been ill or major hangover cos he looked a bit green around the gills at the end of the match!! Plus didn't hear him shouting much either

Re: vs Mansfield
I thought the ball would have gone into orbit it was launched skywards at every opportunity. Didn't see much sign of the new short passing game the reserves were supposed to have been practising this week. I wore my Craney shirt hoping there would have been some news about his return to the fold. Think we would have won 4-0 if he had been playing, as Carden looked yards off the pace to me. A strange looking formation picked by Coley today, but who needs wingers with Cav in such good attacking form? I thought Evil did well when he came on, running the clock down superbly in the corner for the last 2 or 3 minutes, also holding the ball up well and keeping possession when it was coming straight back at us from everywhere else on the field, plus a great goal-bound rocket which their goalie did well to beat away. Mullin magnificent throughout too.
