I'd agree with most of your post Mab, Chris Turner & Jimmy Ryan were brilliant but John Miles??? - a good solid team performance carried him through & at times he did have flashes of inspiration but he is too inconsistent and at times wandered round the pitch looking like a child who has got lost in Asda . Was good to see Leam back on the pitch after too long an absence but I did wonder why Chris Turner was taken off to make room for him. All in all though a bloody good night & felt good to have taken 4 points of our seaside friends this season

Re: vs Morecambe (match thread)
Couldn't let the occasion pass without a word of praise for your lot last night.
We were dreadful, let's get that straight, but we've been dreadful on other occasions this season and not been given the run-around like your lads gave us.
I missed our drubbing at Gillingham but, evidently, we bossed that game until their first goal and then collapsed.
Bit like last night really when we totally dominated the first 37 seconds and then were second best all over the park for the other 90-odd minutes.
Interesting formation you used with an attacking four playing behind Mullin. As they lined up I expected you to be pumping it forward to him and picking up the pieces so it came as a surprise to see you playing it along the deck, quickly and neatly and running so well off the ball.
We were excellent against a decent side on Saturday and named an unchanged side last night so - however crap we played last night - it still was a very, very good display by you.
You cannot possibly play like that every week and neither can we (I hope) but, again, well done and good luck.
Sammy has done well with us and I'm confident he'll get our lads back on their game.
We've had our rivalries but they've always been good-natured and we wish you well.
Good luck.
