Re: vs Stockport County
Toddy doesn't play well on the left as he does on the right

Re: vs Stockport County
I simply can't fathom why - when we have a more than capable left winger in Dennehy - Coleman continues with this idiotic formation.
We've got a 4-4-2 with three central midfielders and one natural winger - playing on the wrong flank of course.
And why is Roscoe still getting a starting place ahead of McGivern??
It's going to be a long long season.

Re: vs Stockport County
Leam has to have been injured, he has been our best and most consistent player over the last few weeks and has played at right back instead of Edwards. Yet today Edwards is at right back!
Harris on the right wing and Todd on the left? yes lets play two players out of position shall we? why not leave Todd at right wing and play only Harris out of position on the left?
Two crosses, two goals, two unmarked headers in the six yard box not rocket science to work out the keeper should have had them both. So, not Rocky's fault but he wasn't very good again but Webb who had started to forge a decent partnership with Roberts was in the stands.
Roscoe was short of the necessaries today adn maybe McGivern should het a chance again. Roscoe will come good again no doubt, but he and Leigthon are both very similar players so give t'other a run please.

Re: vs Stockport County
We had four good chances in the game. Unfortunately we couldn't score from them.We played well in the first half but drifted away aimlessly in the second half. They had two shots on goal the whole game both set pieces -afree kick and a corner-scoring from both, thanks to two goalkeeping errors from Dunbavin.

Re: vs Stockport County
If Dunbavin plays like that on Tuesday. I dread to think what the Peterborough forwards will do to him. Maybe we should give Fearon a go? Of course, that still wouldn't solve the problem of our under-performing attack. The only bright spot for me today was Mark King who looked very promising indeed.

Re: vs Stockport County
mark king was outstanding today, he was caught on the ball a few times but at least he was trying to play, he looks like a good prospect. must agree that leam should of played at right back, thats the least he deserves for the way he has been playing. i have also gotta disagree with points on webb/williams. i thought it was the right decision, webb struggled against pace against chester and dickinson for them was like an olympic sprinter 2day. bav was poor today some bad errors and then his confidence was clearly gone in the 2nd half. top and bottom of it was we never scored when we were on top in the first half and they made us pay, the 2nd half just fizzled out.

Re: vs Stockport County
Why would anybody sub both their strikers and replace them with 2 new strikers when ...........................................
we're 2-0 down
Surely it would make more sense to leave one of then on, and play 3 up front.
????????????????????????????

You'd think so wouldn't you - but then again it's not the first time this season that we've been mystified by Coley's substitutions !
Can't help wondering if Bavs' dip in form yesterday is due to him no longer having a keeping coach to work with, the same thing happened to him when Dibs left, it's like he loses all his confidence.

Re: vs Stockport County
to be honest this form dip you mention should mean fearon gets his chance. bavs wasn't setting the world alight when 'in form' his kicking is awful and he still has no control in the area. granted his shot stopping is good but the full package isn't there.

Re: vs Stockport County
I'm afraid, with Dunbavin, that silk purses and sows' ears spring to mind. No amount of coaching will turn him into a good goalkeeper. He's too small, has no command of his area no presence in the air and he gives his defence the jitters. It was noticeable how no-one trusted him when he came out to try to claim the ball yesterday.
As I said on this forum about a year ago, when his extended run in the side coincided with our awful spell: he wasn't good enough for Shrewsbury, Morecambe, Halifax, Scarborough - why would we be any different?
Still... I did think it was thoughtful of him to give the ball a little wave as it sailed past him for their second goal!
