Talking We'd like to see you there!!!

Accrington Stanley Ladies are on the brink of promotion to the LFA Womens County League Division One.

After what has been a quite unbelievable turnaround in fortune for the club, in what has been only their second season since being formed, Stanley Ladies lie fourth in the Division Two League table, a position last season which saw Rossendale Borough promoted.

Stanley entertain Wigan Athletic Ladies at Wilsons Playing Fields in Clayton, kick-off at 2pm, and I know the girls would really appreciate your support in what is the penultimate game of the season.

Whatever happens they are guaranteed to be above established clubs' Burnley, Lancaster City and Whitehaven, so that in itself is a massive achievement in comparison to last season.

If you are not busy tommorow get yourself down, it's always an entertaining affair no matter what happens, and fingers crossed the girls will be able to pull off a massive scalp against the favourites for the league title after what was a hotly contested contest at the JJB back in February which saw Wigan run out 2-1 winners.

Thanks

Karen

well hard fought it certainly was with plenty of fair and meaty challenges flying in. Unfortunately we lost 2-1 again, but certainly in my humble (if slightly biased) opinion we deserved at least a draw and had the chances to win the game.

Massive acheivement this year to be in fourth. Just hoping we get the nod for division 1 now!!!
