whalley to return?
worst news possible?
although it is old news that Whalley has left Chester, and although its old 'conspiracy' news that he could walk straight back into a debt (ish) free club, let's all hope that this is just lazy journalism and that there is no basis in the suggestions from the Chester end.

Re: whalley to return?
He's never left, has he? If this potential saga was to play out, then it would fulfill the suspicions of many, many people.
Personally I'd find it hard to continue supporting the club in its present guise, if this was to happen.

Re: whalley to return?
He is only a shareholder, not a director, so can he just walk back in???? Not too sure really???

Re: whalley to return?
No doubt all will be revealed at that pending shareholders meeting, unless I missed it while I was away for 3 weeks over Christmas. But I did notify the club of a change of my address,so presumably I would have had some correspondonce!!!!!!!!!

Re: whalley to return?
I'm not worried, this simply would not be allowed to happen - not by the current board and certainly not by the fans.

I suppose that all depends on how many shares he has.
More than 50% and I would expect he can't legally be stopped from taking control of the club.

Re: whalley to return?
If the club have the slightest sense of public relations, they need to jump on this rumour and quash it very, very quickly indeed.

Re: whalley to return?
It's worse than the worst news possible.
If Whalley walks back in he will be passing a few going in the other direction. Can only hope it's Chris Flannelagain desperately trying to up his profile with his boss before he has his annual review.
