Now that's an idea I would love to see or have a service lift at back of stand, place your order and they send it up on that to you

remember going to leeds road huddersfield towns old ground and there were guys doing this at half time selling em out of big baskets. if it worked in a big cavernous ground like that it surely would work at the wham.

Re: Wham Stadium
Could just have a pie slinger belting them out from the back of the Clayton End - you know, a catapult type thingy - if you catch it before it hits the floor it's yours

Re: Wham Stadium
Probably sounds easier said than done. Pies need to be kept warm, a full range needs to be carried as well as tea/coffee etc.
Then there's the wastage of the unsold pies coming back and being chucked away. Plus additional wages.
I'd have thought more efficiency at the serving hatches is the answer. Maybe tokens.

Re: Wham Stadium
Can see hot food and drinks would be a problem but having vendors walking by to sell cold soft drinks and crisps, choc bars, etc ought to be easier. Happens in most venues in the US. The bigger problem is getting anyone to do it.
Tokens may be an option if it reduced time taking and giving change, but wouldn't there have to be many different types.

A year ago, I posted about Anfield where there are drinks sellers all around the ground.

Re: Wham Stadium
Fans ask for suggestions , then comes the sarcasm , its not worth even thinking about ideas , I shall forget it.

Re: Wham Stadium
I don't think RR is being sarcastic, or that he'd want to dissuade others from coming up with ideas. But his post does prove that coming up with an idea is only 5% of solving the problem. Most ideas put forward on here require someone else to implement them.

Re: Wham Stadium
It wasn't directed at RR at all . But we are asked for any suggestions , then along come the Micky takers .There is a thread on here were someone stopped posting because of the sarcastic replies .We are all supposed to have Stanley at heart , we should be putting our heads together and hopefully finding a remedy to our problems, but to me , some on here are just nit picking and trying to find fault, sad but true.

Re: Wham Stadium
Ignore them, Greeny. Some folk have ideas that others can only criticise.
You never know, maybe the person who gets the new Carering Manager's job reads the Accy (Stanley)Web!

Re: Wham Stadium
Greeny - I posted a joking remark about drones. If that's one that's offended you then apologies.
I have to say that when we discuss ideas at work it's fairly common that someone may say something lighthearted. Generally we have a laugh and move on. Maybe it doesn't work on't tinternet when you may be conversing with people you don't know, but chances are no offence is intended.
