Re: What was your first ever Stanley match that you attended??
No idea when or who against. It wasn't a momentus occasion I am afraid. I enjoyed myself and made a note to do it again. It was a night match and it was the ATS cup.. Maybe semi or prob quarter final. The stand was half built, the club shop was in the Bar .. I bought a pin badge to wear at England games that I attended regularly but decided it was embarresingly BIG and dont recall ever seeing it again or what it looked like

Re: What was your first ever Stanley match that you attended??
Can't remember first game or teams playing as Stanley weren't a decent standard for a 12 year old kid (How times change!!!). Must have been 1985 & you got in at half time for free. First real game I remember was the 4th Qualifying game against Fleetwood when I was beaten up "by a fully grown man" in the cow shed!!!! Think 1989????

Re: What was your first ever Stanley match that you attended??
Around 14 years ago when we played a friendly against Man Utd old boys 11. Think Paul Beck was around cos we had the run in the cup a year or two later. Know Utd had Law, Stepney, Morgan, Thomas etc & they still had class even though semi retired. Utd won 2-0 mainly cos they went 2 up & then played with our lads for the fun of it.

Re: What was your first ever Stanley match that you attended??
My first game was the 2nd Round FA Cup game against Crewe at Ewood Park so you could call me a glory supporter but I dont care. Despite them getting whacked (well it was 0-0 with 43 mins gone I think then by half time it was 2-0 Crewe so they did very well and even pulled it back to 2-1 in the 2nd half before Crewe just started to take over), I loved the passion on show from Ashley Hoskins, Beck, and all the rest of the lads in Red playing in front of a crowdsize that they could only dream of so I thought Id go check it out again (I was also impressed with the shirt sponsor at the time - thought it was bloody cool to have Hollands Pies on ya belly - especially a belly like mine!! )
My first game at the IES/Crown was recently after that when Accy played Fleetwood Town. Since then (up until about 2 years ago when I was also exiled southwards and then eventually East-Medwards) I tried to get to as many as possible.
maccawozzagod, I ALSO fondly remember that 5-0 whacking at Christie Park - was a good day out.... Remember laughing very hard when Loweiy, Bubs, Plum and probably yourself along with others started singing We want 6....
I also remember managing to persuade my Dad to take me all the way to Winsford on a midweek night (didnt drive at the time) - was VERY surprised he agreed to that!! And yes TM, I completely agree with your comment about their ground Fiver on trap 6 please....

Re: What was your first ever Stanley match that you attended??
I don't remember the first game ,but I do remember watching an F A Cup tie Stanley and Bristol Rovers,we made a draw I think. It would be about 1952 or 1953. I do rember the all Scotish team, including John Ryden who went on to Tottenham Hotspur, a magnificent Centre Half, and a full back who was later killed in the Tenerife plane crash, his name eludes me , he was married to the daughter of the owner of Kirkhams coaches, I remember now it was Bob McNicol. I better shut up now or I will be here all day reminicing.

Re: What was your first ever Stanley match that you attended??
I was at Liverpool for the F.A. cup game in 56 and at Peel Park for the North V South game in 55 so that must have been around the time I started watching Stanley. I was also at the crown for their first game back.

Re: What was your first ever Stanley match that you attended??
It was away at Newtown in 1990. I remember us having yellow shirts with green trim. We won about 4-1. Andy Bondswell scored at least one, possibly Becky as well. I think Andy Mulliner was in goal.
If anyone needs a memory jogger have a look at the Football Club History Database at http://www.fchd.btinternet.co.uk/ACCRINGS.HTM (take the end off to get their home page).

Re: What was your first ever Stanley match that you attended??
9th April, 2005, against Stevenage at home.
I was asked to go by Lindsay Ormerod. I had no ides what to expect. Infact I thought we might be stood on the touch line in the middle of a field!
I was amazed at the atmosphere/the Ultras, and was hooked from that moment. I can't remember if we won or lost, but do remember the fight with which the Reds played, and was impressed with the ferocity, and pace of Evil.
Afterwards we had a great time in the bar, where as well as meeting some of the players, I met Kipax and Henry Morton, who signed me up to the supporter's club straight away.
I've been to every home game since, and a handfull of away games, mainly thanks to my bud Harwood Red, and her Red pick up bus.
Since that date last April, I consider myself a Red's fan for life, and bless the day I first went and received such a warm welcome from the 'Stanley family'.

Alty at home in the unibond premier, i think lutel scored twice, one a penalty. It was late season when a place in the conference was all but sealed. I was soon hooked..

Re: What was your first ever Stanley match that you attended??
I can't remember my first match, but the first one I do remember was the FA Cup 3rd round replay against Preston NE in 1961...fast forward forty-odd years and Wynonie Harris pursuaded me to go and see the Unibond Premier winners play their last match of the season against the bottom club, Hyde. What a boring match that was, 1-0; and to cap it all, my Dad got me to carry a collecting bucket round at half time for charity. Nevertheless, the magic worked and I fell in love with Stanley again...
