What would be your dream Stanley team?
Just for fun. If you could choose any players from any era, which players would make it in to your Stanley dream team? You can use present day players too, as I'm feeling generous.
Would you have Finn in goal, or Speare, or Cutts? Would Lampkin, Johnson, Clarke and Eatough make it in to your back four? Would Parr, Curley, or Tattersall grace your midfield? And what about Becky, Grimmy, Haggis and Mullin upfront?
I'm still thinking about it, but thought I'd throw it open to you lot.

Re: What would be your dream Stanley team?
OK, in an attempt to beat the drivel, here's my early effort.
Goalkeeper: Jamie Speare (For sentimental reasons)
Defence: Martin Clarke RB, Floyd Peltier CH (King Tut ), Eddie Johnson CH, Steve Lampkin LB.
Midfield: Martin Eatough, Steve Curley (for his passing, if nothing else), Jimmy Collins (for his bite), Chris Grimshaw (for a laugh )
Forwards: Paul Beck (Legend), David Hargreaves (there's only one Haggis).
I tried to fit Gary Butterworth and Kenny Twigg in there, but for some reason I failed to do so.

Re: What would be your dream Stanley team?
Jamo (legend)
Jonathon Smith
Darren Quick
Eddie Johnson
Mark Brennan
Russell Payne
Mike Marsh
Mark Shirley
Brett Ormerod
John Coleman
Paul Beck
Unfortunately, the list has lots of names missing that need a mention: Gary Williams in his prime, Brett Baxter, Lutel, Hacker, Hoskin, Grimmy, Liam Watson, the Ice Cream Man, Reg Hollis, Martin Clark, Cav,
Also, had to adapt my team to 4-3-3. Probably NOT the best team but my favourites definately......................

Re: What would be your dream Stanley team?
Jamie Speare - will never be forgotten
Gus Wilson - always looked like he would turn pro
Eddie Johnston - quick & good reader of the game
Steve Halford - a bit of bite to the defence
Steve Lampkin - important part of the '93 FA Cup glory team which had a great defence
Steve Jagielka - pivotal in midfield
Charlie Cooper - inspirational captain
Bernie Hughes - hardest-working player we ever had
Rory Prendergast - there's only one Rory
Brett Ormerod - always looked like you could blow him over, but very skillful
Paul Mullin - legend, now and always
Subs:
Paul Collings - solid keeper in an area in which we have stuggled over the years
Martin Clark - like Gus Wilson, would always turn pro
Jonathan Smith - supersub on more than one occasion
Chris Grimshaw - just so we can shout 'bring on Grimmy' from the terraces
Dave Hargreaves - Stanley legend, but defences much weaker than Mullin faces nowadays
