What's the news on Kevin?
Is he staying? Going? What?
All together now .............
"We want Kevin to stay
We want Kevin to stay
We want Kevin to stay
..............................."
'Cos he's awesome. And Irish. But mostly 'cos he's awesome!

Re: What's the news on Kevin?
Its essential we keep him, simple.
Only snag I can see is Burnley wanting him to play in League One from now till the end of the season, then he's ready for the Championship next year.

We need him to stay, a rock in our defence.

Re: What's the news on Kevin?
I can't see that a few months League 1 football for the rest of this season will be a requirement. I suspect the main issue is if Burnley sign Ben Mee on a permanent basis from City. If so I reckon they will let Kevin carry on and he will start again next season as backup to the main central defenders.
The other option of course is that Burnley get an offer in for him

Re: What's the news on Kevin?
I seem to recall Long was prevented from playing for Stanley in the FA Cup. Maybe he's going to get a run out at Norwich to see how he's progressed

Re: What's the news on Kevin?
Well remembered Dave.
I think he has been without a doubt our best player this season.
Can he cut it at Championship level?? Without a doubt.

I agree, but hope he has a stinker if he plays against Norwich.

Re: What's the news on Kevin?
mmm,big call that smudgie,he has the tools to play at championship level, but no experience.
Jumping two divisions is a massive step, and with Ben Mee being a young lad,I doubt they would play them together.
For his development,i would go the Tom lees route, and get him a loan at a top first division team.
Really do rate the lad tho.

Re: What's the news on Kevin?
Sorry Football 19, but theTom Lees route involved a top second division team at the time - Bury. So what are we?
