Where's the Midfield?

Has ne1 else noticed that there only seems 2 b 1 decent player in midfield, Andy Proctor? He runs himself ragged every match and isnt afraid 2 tackle players, but he doen't seem 2 have ne other midfielders 2 help him.

Should have been Andy Procter that got it.

Re: Where's the Midfield?

Theres a CUP FINAL on tuesday... If we had drawn here then we would have needed to go there and win.. and thats what we need to do now..

If we are winning 1-0 we are back in it...

As jimbo says.. Lets not forget an all important top 8 finish for our first ever LDV entry.. As a full time club we can live with the likes of Southend and Blackpool who played the final at the millenium this year...

LOTS TO PLAY FOR YET!

Cookie was outstanding yesterday, Proccy tried hard. We miss Andy Gouck, though!!! Maybe Wizard should have played more of the match.

Any news about Goucky and when he will be fit again? Overheard someone at the Morecambe match say he had pneumonia!

Re: Where's the Midfield?

Goucky was in hospital four four days with his 'pneumonia' ... can't remember the exact condition he was suffering from, but he did say on Radio Lancashire before Tuesday's game that he was hoping to be fit enough to feature on Saturday.

Re: Where's the Midfield?

Attending random mackems thought Procter was your best player. James (little guy up front) was terrible (and that's being polite).
Cook is clearly the 'quality' in the midfield but he picks and chooses his 'battles' - maybe that's just being conservative with older legs.
Hoping to be back to the wonderfully romantically named Iinterlink Express Stadium again, sooner rather than later.
