Re: Who ate all the pies?
I have to say, the stink from pies, etc make me nearly throw up when eaten nearby on the Clayton End, but that's probably due to my medication, as it never used to be a problem. I give my gold medal, incidentally, to the Balti pie supplied at Elland Road when we played Leeds in a cup match a few years ago. Now that really was something to salivate about, thinking about it now.

Re: Who ate all the pies?
I'll never forget an incident way back when, we were in the NW Counties first division. At that time as some on here will remember, we could walk round to the opposite end of the ground at half time. There was a guy who attended regularly, he was quite a big lad, wore glasses and always had a Burbury flat cap on, I never knew his name. Anyway, he got escorted/kicked out of the ground from the Coppice end for chucking a pie at the opposition goalkeeper. Can anyone remember the incident? From that day on we Christened him "The Pieman"

Re: Who ate all the pies?
I have replied to those fans who have emailed me and passed on any emails to the vendors. The vendors are keen for fans to give them feedback directly. Eg They told me Clayton Park pies are now being sold because fans told them they didn't like the pastry of the Pukka pies.

Re: Who ate all the pies?
Clayton Park meat and potato are far too peppery.

Re: Who ate all the pies?
Bovril and local pies. Fantastic stuff!! Glad they've not gone for Hollands who have dipped spectacularly in recent years but owts better than Pukka Pies.

Re: Who ate all the pies?
Morecambes pies at the old Christie ground were in a different league.
Indeed my mates used to join us on Monday nights to watch Blackburn reserves just to sample "pie all in".
Not the same at the new ground tho

Re: Who ate all the pies?
Best spud pies I ever had although not football related, were from Haworths bakery on Nuttall Street. in the 50's/60's.

Re: Who ate all the pies?
Barnet are advertising 'delicious ‘Amber Spice’ Indian-inspired matchday snacks', available in Grazioli’s Bar (under the West Stand):
Match Preview: Barnet v Accrington Stanley
Meanwhile, their local paper thinks we're from Merseyside!
