Re: Who ate all the pies?
According to our commercial manager in the blurb on fishy site there won't be any change in the prices for fans. Maybe Hollands wanted to put the prices up - who knows, something must've prompted the change otherwise why change from a local supplier to one based in Yaaarkshire?

That's a matter of opinion, ask Cashy or Yonmon for their take on Pukka pies - if you dare

Re: Who ate all the pies?
I have no opinion on the superiority or otherwise vis-à-vis Pukka versus Hollands but surely Hollands are a locally based company, employing local people.
Surely, we should be supporting them in helping to continue jobs for local people, who in turn may support us.
Years ago, I worked for Matthew Brown Brewery in Blackburn for a short time, before they were swallowed up by Scottish & Newcastle, who immediately closed them down.
They had a policy of buying their trucks only from Leyland Motors, on the simple understanding that their employees drank in Matthew Brown pubs, so they would support their customers employer.
Can't see many Yorkshire folk supporting Stanley.

Re: Who ate all the pies?
Hollands pies are two for a pound at Tesco, Cissy Greens both Pork and beef are the business. A little costlier but the quality is there. What a pie dilemma. There is even a film called the life of pi. I think they could catch on.

i,m yorkshire based too but wouldn,t give a pukka pie to my dog or akinfenwa for that. words cannot describe them especially as i don,t want banning from this site. best pies in yorkshire are from keelham farm shop. home made, all under a quid and normal un poncy ones at that.
