Who do you see as your biggest rivals?

With so many new teams for you to play this year, who do you see as the team you would most like to beat? When asked this question at Shrews, the answers varied between Chester, Hereford, Walsall and Wrexham. You will now have Lancs derby matches. Something to really look forward to, I would have thought. Also, there is a very special atmosphere at these games, as I'm sure you know.

Re: Who do you see as your biggest rivals?

I think we will have a friendly rivalry with Bury but the matches with Rochdale will have that special something extra.

I don't why really, maybe its the fact there is a direct bus to Rochdale, or because I know a couple of Spotters,or maybe because we have always played them in friendlies and now it is a competitive game on an even keel. Maybe Bury have been in higher leagues and I don't expect them to stay around for too long, maybe because we had a whip round and charity game for you when you were in difficulties. It's a shame Morecambe didn't come up because that would have been the needle match even though they about 25 miles further away.

Good luck and thanks in advance for the six points

Definately Rochdale and Bury.

I think Bury is a bit closer. OK, you need to change buses in Rawtenstall but I'd have to get off the 464 for a beer stop there anyway.

It's gonna be Rochdale, I reckon. Only time will tell though, but I have a gut feeling it's gonna be Rochdale. Bury will also be a good match, as will Stockport

It'lll be a friendly rivallry though, much like we had with Morecambe. Pure hatred is still reserved for Barrow. (FA Cup 1st round anyone? )

There were a handful of Morecambe fan that turned really sour though, which was a shame. Definately consider Morecambe a friendly rivalry though. It takes a really sour incident to become bitter enemies.

By the way, are we all forgetting Hereford!? Those are gonna possibly be two VERY bitter matches

Aye, they don't even deserve to play us. Should be in the Welsh league playing the likes of Rhyl and T.N.S. Then they could actually believe they were a big club, instead of the delusions they have now.
