Re: Who Plays at Centre Back?????
Hopefully not Miller. Maybe Murphy at centre half with Coid at full back. How long is Deano out for?

Re: Who Plays at Centre Back?????
Personally if they are all fit............
Winnard..........Long...........Hessey............ ...Bender
Currently.................
Murphy.......... Long........... Hessey.............. Mcintyre
We need a Left Back for me, as Kevin is a far better central midfielder.

Re: Who Plays at Centre Back?????
He means while Hessey is suspended smudgie.
Yeh Joe I think Murph would be more than capable at centre-half. When he was first playing in our ressies I was most impressed with his performances at the back and still am. Tall, comfortable on the ball, committed... good cover option IMO.

Re: Who Plays at Centre Back?????
While we're on the subject (sort of) I think our strongest back four would be Murphy, Hessey, Long and Winnard.
I think Coid is best used in an attacking role. As smudgie says; quality player. Far too good for this league. Just hope he can get a good run of fitness this year, he deserves it.

Re: Who Plays at Centre Back?????
Coley is short at the back, without a doubt, especially now Sean is banned.
Who he plays on Wednesday I have no idea to be honest.
Wonder how far Kern Miller is off coming back?? He looked decent on the 1st day away at Northampton.

Re: Who Plays at Centre Back?????
Would image Deano would be fit for Tranmere, had a scan on thursday and following some injections, can resume training.
Floating bone/impingement or something in ankle, but at least ligaments are ok.
He wants to play centre back, but would imagine he will be considered for fullback as tranmere"s widemen were very quick.

Re: Who Plays at Centre Back?????
With our defenders made up of Loanees, injuries and the odd ban, I can see a back 3 of:-
Deano LB, Proccy CB and Luke at RB!!! This would also help the midfield selection!!!
Who knows???
