Why is the game on a friday?

Can anyone enlighten me as to why the Accy v FGR game is on a friday evening? Its a 360 mile round-trip for us FGR fans, and wouldve been much better if it was played on a saturday afternoon like any normal game of football!

Re: Why is the game on a friday?

The club are experimenting with Friday night football in a bid to improve attendances. It is only done with the full permission of the visiting club and police so your lot have agreed to it.

As part of the deal, we also play you at your gaffe on a friday night and it will still be a 360 mile round trip.

Be seeing you!

Yes Mr Rover I am sure that Eric & Co argued & deliberated over whether Friday would affect the amount of FGR fans that travelled

15 on a Saturday down to 8 on a Friday night becuase of 360 miles.....

Wheres the roof!

Re: Why is the game on a friday?

We have 2 roofs!!! There is the 'tin shed', kept specially for away supporters, and the nice new dry terrace for the rest of us. 2-1 to the Rovers on friday night. This is where the turnaround begins!! :engsmil:
