Wigan games
With both my lads and your lads playing Wigan tonight and tomorrow, it will be interesting to compare the results at this stage of the pre-season.
Sounds as though their strongest squad could figure tonight with those who do not get a run out playing tomorrow.
Thankfully pre-season is nearly finished when we can both get down to the serious stuff of both teams getting promotion. One as champions (no need to ask my choice) and the others as Play Off winners. It will be superb when BOTH teams gain promotion at the same time.

Re: Wigan games
It's a nice thought that both clubs will be promoted this season and I wouldn't mind that combination at all. However, I can't see it happening in reality. Can you? ![Big Grin](http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Re: Wigan games
Morecambe 0 Wigan 1 final score - direct of Wigan website. played a mix of reserves and first teamers. If they play Duke Ellington and Jason Roberts up front tomorrow night - we could be in for a hiding. Also - if Stephane Henchoz plays, could have quite a few supporters coming to see how he fits in with rest of team. Would be interested to see what the crowd was at Morecambe tonight. certainly bringing 3 possibly four with me tomorrow night for what could be an uncomfortable drive home

Re: Wigan games
Delusion is a terrible thing - i hope i'm wrong. It would be good for Stanley to give Wigan first team a beatting after all the negativity that is beginning to **** me off, but I really don't thing Wigan will be Ellington, Henchoz et al tomorrow. More like Gary Walsh and a load of kids.

Re: Wigan games
Remember these are just a limber up exercise for the clubs & the result means nothing. The real action commences on the 13th!

Re: Wigan games
To the 'mighty' shrimps - yes they brought a full squad played 7 1st teamers in the first half and 9 in the second inluding Ellington. (this info from a Wigan Athletic fan) - thought Accy had an excellent game and probably there best friendly to date. roll on the 13th

Anyone else shocked that he hasnt been back?
Morecambe fans came on here last season showing off before the games then dissapeared when they lost... They came on pre fixtures telling us they knew allsorts...and didn't come back to explain why they post bollox.. now they want to compare results and it didn't go there way so they dissapear again..
When we are about to play them they will be back giving it large.. only to dissapear when there dreams don't come true.
Come on Morecambe.. we dont bite ![Smilie](http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Re: Wigan games
Good to see that both clubs put up good performances against the Premiership new boys. For me, Wigan looked candidates for a swift return to the Championship. As for our fans shouting their mouths off....BOTH clubs have that problem (?).
Let's hope BOTH clubs get promotion this season and that BOTH clubs can 'do' the Stevenage.
What a loud, mouthed ****** their manager is!

Re: Wigan games
OK, we got a better result against Wigan than they did and now Christie's Child wants us to unite against Stevenage - whats that all about!
