Re: Will there be singing in the valleys? Wrexham home thread.

Cracking game considering the ref and liners seemed one sided for most of the match 😲 couldn't fault any Stanley players today and a good choice for man of the match as well although anyone of them could have got it !! 🙂

Re: Will there be singing in the valleys? Wrexham home thread.

What a difference four days can make! Probably the best game and crowd atmosphere of the season. Every player was outstanding and fought for every ball and for each other. Pleased for Shipley but I could’ve have picked one player for MotM. Well done to the entire squad and coaches. Just keep up that attitude against every club, not just the Hollywood Henries.
And, again compared with Tuesday night, I thought the ref was an improvement.

Something I have never witness in football today...

McCracken had misjudged a pass back situation and got himself in a bit of a mess, but he tackled the striker on the edge of the box and the ball went out of play

A millisecond either way and it would have been a red, or goal, or penalty...

After signalling for the goal kick, the referee said "well done" to McCracken

Great from Neil Hair

John Mc Cracken is so cool with the ball at his feet. I never feel nervous when he has the ball. He rarely wastes a pass and exudes confidence to his team mates. I just rate him very highly! That was possibly his one misjudgement in the whole season. Top keeper!

Just watched the post match interviews of both managers.

Phil Parkinson openly criticised the referee and said his penalty award to Stanley was wrong. Very surprised to see that and if the football authorities see it I would think he could be fined and banned from the touchline.........still maybe when you're a "big money bags club" the rules don't apply to you.

Not sure if the liner had some say on the pen, thought it could have been one of two challenges

Because you never see that from Coley haha !

What's money got to do with being a passionate Manager ?

He doesn't deserve a ban for that.

He's got a point - some you get some you don't.

Re: Will there be singing in the valleys? Wrexham home thread.

I was standing behind the goal and I saw the foul for the penalty on Hills and Mrs.Exile saw the one on Lowe.
He’s entitled to an opinion, but how the Wrexham manager could see anything from where he was standing through a dozen+ bodies is amazing. His eyesight must be superhuman.
Maybe he could watch the goal cam and visit his optician.

Looks like we should've had two penalties
