Re: Will your ground handle the away crowd Monday?

i always thought the same until Eric made a statement a couple of weeks ago to that effect. Maybe Rob could clear it up for us?

Halifax's problem is mainly with the fact the council renaigned on an offer of a loan to the SST to finish the ground, supposedly a million quid! Then also said you gonna have a new (private) landlord! The lease they currently have would have to be given up when a new freeholder was found but the club would be invloved with the negoatiations so there's no real worry there IMO

There is a worry in the fact, for Fax, that the Shay will stay unfinished for a good 5 years at least then they need to find private investment

A kick in the teeth but still similar ownership details to the IES

I see the fax fan hasn't mentioned that Rory should have been dismissed twice after his yellow card. 1 the celebrations were crowd provoking than the one Gary Roberts got booked for against York and 2 the tackle later with two feet was another definate yellow if not red. So as Jimbo said you win some you loose some like your going to at the IES.

Nice to know you finally see him in bad eyes. For ages he has been the wonderboy at Accy where other teams complained about hias antics, but as soon as he plays for another team he is a cheating diver.

Nice.

I suggest you look back at how you regarded him before he left. One such incident I remember is when you played Huddersfield in the Cup. No doubt hew was great then with no intent of cheating!
Its about time you got the wrath of the Prendergast whom you treated like an angel for so long!

P.S. That photo of the handball is great. Shows exactly what we missed out on with perfect timing. Nice one KIPAX!

1) ACCRINGTON
see now that means we are top of the league, which means you are not, which means we are better than you, which means WE are the bigger club; ok?
poor thing.

I wasn't picking holes, but I thought I'd missed something.

Thanks for clearing that up Jase (and Rob)

We'll see where you stand in a few weeks time. You've just had a good few easy fixtures and then a top 5 opposition comes along and you manage to nick a point. Good luck!

Re: Will your ground handle the away crowd Monday?

yeah thats right we have only played you no-one else good, we didn't beat grays or york or hereford, we're not top of the league on merit either we are just lucky and that luck is going to run out soon, we are also not half way through the season which indicates we have played everybody once wither home or away except tamworth

Re: Will your ground handle the away crowd Monday?

We have dropped down the league (singular not plural) but have now established ourselves in The Conference. We were play-off contenders last season until the final week and we have been all this season. We showed on Monday why we are in the Top 5, by dominating the league leaders who could only nick a point which they didn't deserve with a last minute goal. You may be top of the league but you are hardly running away with it like Barnet last season. You are still very much in the mix, as are we, and there is still half a season to go. You are 2 points clear of Exeter, hardly insormountable is it? If you are 'on the up' then so are we.

We too have beaten York and Hereford this season. We got a deserved point away at Grays and yes, you deserved to beat Grays. Well done. Doesn't quite make you champions though does it?

The 'bigger' club thing is silly, we are playing at the same level aren't we? Just because you have nine-points more than us at this stage of the season doesn't make you a bigger club, and if at any point we have more points than you that doesn't make us a bigger club either. The fact that we are an ex-League club doesn't make us a bigger club either...there are teams in the Unibond divisions that are ex-League. Does that make them a bigger club than Stanley? No. I think people use the 'bigger club' issue simply to wind other fans up.

As for Rory Prendergast, I for one am not singing is praises. I thought he was sh!te when he played for you and I still do.

As for the away crowd, you may have only brought 400-500 on Monday but the lads from Yorkshire will have a following of around 700-800 next week. Don't worry, we'll provide the atmosphere as I know the home crowd at the IES don't know how to.

YORKSHIRE! YORKSHIRE!

Smile Re: Will your ground handle the away crowd Monday?

There'll be plenty of space for you (soon to be renamed) Tesco Town FC supporters. And you won't have to look at a half-finished monumental eyesore glowering over the pitch from one side of the ground like you have for years at your place! You've no chance of winning the league (unlike us) and the only reason you're as highly placed as you are is through signing our `Judas` cast-offs. Must have been a tad irritating seeing his much better replacement scoring our late equalising goal...Ha x 3!!!

Oh yeah now I remember, big club Fax Town!

Remember first season as a new conference club us hovering around the top half & you hovering around the relegation places. Wewere part time you full!

How you waste your potential, well done!
