Wilson Requests Apology From Coleman

Danny Wilson has demanded an apology from your manager over his remarks towards Michael Nelson. When asked about Coleman’s comments towards Michael Nelson, Danny Wilson responded with:

“And very unjustly so, I have to say. When a spitting incident happened like it did with Michael I think it disgusts everybody. The worst thing you could have leveled against, it's a disgusting habit and I think if it hits you, you get an instant and you saw exactly what kind of reaction you get from Michael Nelson. Michael doesn't go off the handle very easily, as you well know. I think that anybody who does that deserves to be sent off. He spat on him and got the just deserts.

The manager spoke in very, very unflattering terms about Michael and I'm sure he regrets that now after seeing the replays. Obviously they've not appealed against it, simply because they know that he's guilty. So I would like that to think that he could send some sort of apology to Michael and then put it back to bed and carry on with ourselves.”

What are your thoughts on the incident?

Re: Wilson Requests Apology From Coleman

My thought are what a load of bull doody!!!

Jay got stamped on and a boot raked down the back of his calf and achilles tendon, then shoved and hit in the face, all by Michael Nelson. Jay then spat to the floor as Nelson was walking past from behind, some of it got on his shorts. Nelson then ran like a 2 year old to the ref and told him to send him off. Given the fact that in this entire confrontation the ref and his assistants saw abosolutely nothing, The sending off was a travesty!

Don't get me wrong I don't condone spitting on people, I think its a disgusting habit. However if you're going to spit at someone you spit in their face.

Given that Jay was about 3 foot shorter than Nelson and the fact that he would have had to spit upwards into the wind to spit in his face, I would have said the only thing going to happen was Jay getting some fresh brylcream!!!

Oh and the reason we didn't appeal was that the incident wasn't shown on the tv cameras.

Happy 3 points and Merry Christmas now chuff off before hell freezes over!!!

Re: Wilson Requests Apology From Coleman

And I echo Sparkies sentiments. Nelson was all over Jay Harris like a rash from the 18 yard area all the way into our half of the centre circle. Yes you are right in the statement of spitting, but if there had been any justice in this world, Nelson should have followed him into the changing rooms. Like it or not, Nelson is no saint in this matter!! and the sooner Danny Wilson realises this the better.

P.S. when Nelson apologises for getting a fellow professional sent off then I think you can expect an apology for J.C. however, the phrase 'when hell freezes over etc etc' springs to mind

When during a match he told a barracking Denise (yes the same denise on accyweb that tells us no club in 2 years) to get her ten quid and F off out the ground.. he apologised for that at the end of the game.... Never known him to apologise for anything else so I think you will have a long wait

PS when coley apologised.. Denise said "Can I still have my ten quid back" ... class

Good riposte , Sparkie.

Also now I know what really happened, long way from Whinney Hill in the gloom.
