World Cup
If the poor Japanese ref had done his duty and sent off Neymar for his attack on Modric he wouldn't have got out of Brasil alive. That still doesn't excuse his disallowing the 2nd Croatia goal though. I can't bear listening to Andy Townsend's incessant drivel on ITV but have found the best plan is to listen to the very good commentary on Radio 5 live instead. The added bonus is that the commentary is 5 seconds or so in advance of the TV pictures!

Re: World Cup
I think Fred disgustingly conned him into that. From where he was it would look like Fred was dragged back vigorously, where it actually was the touch of a fly felling a 15 stone bloke!

Re: World Cup
Does anyone really expect anything else than an exhibition of cheating, incompetence, and hype from something organised by FIFA.

Re: World Cup
Fantastic counter attacking by Robben and co. Lets hope Roy unleashes Raheem Sterling tonight and has a real go at Italy.

Why? The Dutch are always there or thereabouts Tom, good players & loads of passion, I'd rate them to do rather well in the competition.

Re: World Cup
Buffon's out that's good for England, seen as he's one of the best goalies in the world. I think England will just about win based on our faster and younger squad. We should beat Costa Rica. Uruguay will be tough because of who they have in attack Suarez, Cavani and Forlan. We should qualify though without too much trouble. Though England aren't gonna win we are just not at the same level as Brazil, Argentina, Holland and Germany. I think we can get to the quarter-finals if we avoid the big teams.

Re: World Cup
Makes life interesting now that Costa Rica have just beaten Uruguay. Maybe, just maybe England might not need that early flight home.

We suppose you want Coley for the job as he's available?
