Re: WWR Player of the season TALK
I see a number of names who at one time or another during the season may have got my vote, but due to inconsistency or lack of games or even moments of shear stupidity players like Rory, Ged, Cookie (Jackson due to all three, infact that goes for Gazza ![Drunk](http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/images/accysmilies/drunk.gif) , Keane ![Evil](http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/images/accysmilies/evil.gif) and Alan Smith ![Smilie](http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif) )have faded over time.
Both keepers have been very good and have bounced back from their set backs and deserve to pick up the award collectively if that had been possible. Cookie seems to be just getting into his stride now he has put injury and suspension behind him, too many chats with the ref have spoilt his season methinks. If we still had a month or two to go I think he may have snatched my vote. Deano has had a good run in when opportunity has arisen especially when you consider half his internal organs are wrapped around one another and he is waiting for a operation ![EEK!](http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/images/smilies/eek.gif) .
Proccy cannot be faulted for his work rate but he needs a mentor beside him on the pitch to give him direction and encouragement . His antics ![Dogrun](http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/images/accysmilies/dogrun.gif) can cause more problems than they solve leaving us with a disrupted midfield with rather large holes in it. He had a cracking first half down at Bournemouth though ![Thumbsup](http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/images/accysmilies/thumbsup.gif) .
It would have been interesting to compare this seasons side as part timers with the same side as full timers but I guess we will never know ![Idunno](http://www.accringtonweb.com/forum/images/accysmilies/idunno.gif) .
