Re: Yeovil Game
[QUOTE=choirboy;1125633][ We only committed 9 fouls to Yeovil's 17 even though it was not a dirty match at all.
We must have been better foulers than them as well as better footballers. We got 4 yellow cards against their 1 !

Yeh reckon he only booked The Yeovil man by accident.

Re: Yeovil Game
we were brilliant yesterday, apart from 10 minutes after the goal.
Crooks is a good player, apart from fluffing his lines in front of goal. His touch, runs and hold up play was v good. Just not sharp in front of goal. Worth stikcing with him if you ask me.
Did anyone else notice that Aldred stayed up the field for about 15 minutes in the second half, so was our dominance.
Shay should have put his header away. But he looks transformed compared to under Beattie. He takes players on, turns it round the corner, has good touches - I just don't remember him doing that under Beattie and I think this has to be down to the coaching he is getting and the position (just off the front) he is playing.

Re: Yeovil Game
I must also mention those fools that have decided to mock Beattie's reign as manager by changing the lyrics to one of the songs.
Yes he wasn't the best manager we ever had, BUT he kept us in the league for another year, quite comfortably in the end, have some respect.
I wonder how many of them where at Bamber Bridge away to see us get relegated to Unibond Division 1 all those years ago?!? Now surely the likes of Leighton James, Billy Roddaway, Tony Greenwood are more fitting of being mentioned !
Short memories have some people!

Yes it is even more obvious how badly the referee and his assistants did when you consider the stats from the BBC shown here more BOLDLY;
STANLEY.... 9 FOULS = 4 BOOKINGS
YEOVIL .... 17 FOULS = 1 BOOKING
NUMPTY REF !!!
AAARGH!!!

I fully agree Smudgie. JB did a reasonably good job under the circumstances and I too wish our fans would drop the negative line in the song.

They will have to wait for the TV companies to decide who they are covering before they can sort it out.
