Re: Yet Again goalkeepers
Personally I reckon Rob Elliott should be playing, Bavs has done a hell of a lot better than I and many others thought he would when he first came but lately he seems to have lost confidence (not sure but could be something to do with Dibs going) and isn't commanding his area as well as Rob can.

Re: Yet Again goalkeepers
He`s a good shot stopper, but his judgement on both cross`s and when and when not to come out for a ball are dodgy to say the least, if i was in charge Elliot would be my first choose every time, and cant understand why he`s been on the bech most of the season, i`m sure he must be putting the wind up our defence as i dont think i`d be over confident if he was playing behind me, but this is only my opinion of course and i`m sure there will be plenty who disagree.

Re: Yet Again goalkeepers
Dunbavin every time for me - his performances have suffered of late at the lack of direct goalkeeping coaching but on his day he is one of the best in our league in my opinion.
Nothing against Elliot at all by the way - he's a brilliant keeper & I hope he succeeds at a much higher level than this in the future.

Re: Yet Again goalkeepers
dunbavin for me as well because he is our keeper elliot aint he can be called away at any moment and then we would be without a match fit keeper you cant blame bavs for everything because the defence has to take the blame as well they spend to much time daydreaming and should start concentrating on the game and man mark more like blocking off the opposition strikers staying more disciplined at the back if you notice every game they are always caught out of position plus there is never any body in the centre of midield when the opposition counter attack the team should try and keep its shape more...........

it shouldn't matter what is the status of the tenure here, the best man should play. Elliot must have had a severe loss of form since his pre season injury cos if he is only half as good as he was last season he should be in the side now. You Bav supporters have incredibly short memories as to how many games Elliot won single handedly last season. And how many game throwing mistakes did he make?

Re: Yet Again goalkeepers
I like both of the lads; Rob was an absolute star last season and earned his place in Stanley’s line up. I was also pleased to see Bav come on leaps and bounds and was more that relieved that we had him with us when Robbie went down, but at this particular time we should be pulling on all our resources to regain some of that lost lead in the table, if resting Bav and bringing Robbie back to the fore will do it for us then there shouldn’t be any hesitation.

Re: Yet Again goalkeepers
Bavs played in the reserves today which could suggest a return to the starting line up for robbie
